My wife and I were visiting Collingwood for the long weekend. We came across Poppy's via google search, honestly.. great experience! Shawn helped make some great suggestions and the food was great! Definitely will come by again when we're in the area.

Had a great Saturday night dinner at Poppy's to celebrate a special occasion. The service was friendly and prompt. Restaurant was packed, we reserved a few days in advance.Food was delicious! It was a bit loud though due to the obnoxiously loud group sitting next to us, but that's not the restaurant's fault. We had the moules frites, steak frites and creme brûlée for dessert. All great choices.

Loved the feel of a French Bistro situated in a beautiful Historical Building. So well put together, the exposed brick walls and tasteful weathered leather and sky blue banquettes were elegant yet understated. The food was exceptional and a wonderful experience. Received excellent service from our server, Steve. He was part of our reason for coming back a second time for brunch, this time with the family. We recommend starting with the escargot. You’ll definitely need more bread to soak up all that butter and garlic goodness! Don’t let the name Petite Dejeneur fool you, it’s not your parents breakfast. The applewood smoked bacon and breakfast sausage patty is very flavourful but the best part is the crispy potato rosti. Wow. Their sourdough bread is wonderful. Do try their club and roast beef sandwich with beef jus, was great but their potato frites are the best we’ve ever tasted and incredible crispiness! French toast was very nice with the cinnamon infused maple syrup. The real fresh mint tea and house lemonade were good. The beautiful dense foamed latte was so exquisite and smooth, we each had to have 2! The crème brûlée was good but it had to be made a second time, the chef went a little heavy handed with the sugar that after they the torched carmelized top, it still had unmelted sugar under it. Overall, this is our favourite new Brunch place, it’s a gem hidden off the downtown strip! Well worth the money for the quality and presentation. Can’t wait to go back to try dinner and drinks on the patio.

We were in Collingwood for a bachelorette party and dined at Poppy's for the first time. The food, ambiance, and service were amazing! Thank you to Kristin and Steven for taking such good care of us. The menu curated for our group was phenomenal. We can't wait to visit again!

Just had a great dinner here last night to celebrate a special occasion. Staff was extremely attentive and corrected any minor issues we had (ie the server recommended a glass of wine that was not to my taste and she insisted on switching it for me). The food was flavourful, cooked perfectly, and overall just delicious! Atmosphere was nice. No complaints, great experience, highly recommend.

While the Coq au Vin was 1/2 cassoulet, it was still tasty. Great fries with it made it even better. Moules frites were also good. Great special occasion place. Nice wine list.

Loved the decor, the service and especially the food. We shared the tatar, shrimp, oysters to start (make sure you have the bread, it's amazing). I went for steak frites for my main, as I had the gnocchi the last time I was there (which was terrific!) the steak was cooked perfectly. Can't say enough about this place...just what Collingwood needed!

Don’t get the mussels. They tasted off the night I was there, couldn’t eat half of them. Not worth serving.Trout Almandine was good. A bit of a disappointment as different from the google ratings.
