Collingwood’s best restaurant for incredible food, portion sizes, friendliness and genuine family service! Just enjoyed a delightful dinner with friends and not one person in our party left hungry or dissatisfied. Family owned and operated restaurant and a Collingwood gem. My family and friends go to restaurant for incredible food, special occasions or their Sunday night Prime Rib Special.

Yuck! Writing this review at the table because it was so bad. Another reviewer made a point the “seasonal vegetables” are just carrots boiled to mush. I was sitting with a large party and all the steaks were raw even for those who asked for it medium. Most of us ordered a baked potato and after getting our meals they informed us they actually ran out, but didn’t apologize or show any care. Waitress didn’t have any manners, didn’t even check up on us at any points other than to take orders. We waited over 15 minutes for water after asking. Owners are very stuck up and clearly biased about their ways. Can’t take criticism or change with time. Decoration is very dated, felt like eating at grandmas house who CANT cook. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere.

Didn't like the food at all. Steak was hard to eat, roast was basically boiled meat not roast, fish was tasteless. Service wasn't impressive either.

If your looking for great food in Collingwood this is the place to go. It's cozy and inviting atmosphere is as welcoming as the amazing staff. The lovely hostess informed us that they had been in operation for over 46 years and after dining in, it's obvious why. The steak was cooked to perfection and was just one of the amazing dishes served in the meat platter that we shared with plenty of leftovers to take home. The prices and portions will leave you more than satisfied. If you're asking yourself " Where to eat out in Collingwood?" The Rock Dell steakhouse is where you want to be.

Old school style steakhouse with delicious daily specials, steaks cut in house and usually larger than weight described, specials always come with salad bar, soup and bun, coffee/tea and dessert for reasonable price, homemade coconut cream pie that is so good I've gone to buy a whole one lol. The sisters that operate it treat you like you are showing up to a family dinner. Very warm and welcoming and never disappointed (or able to finish a meals as the portions are huge!). Solid local restaurant.

This is absolutely the worst steakhouse I’ve ever been to. Been there twice and both times it was horrible so this is not a snap decision. Steak is not cooked the way you want it. steak is not seasoned in anyway, has no flavour and cooked as if it was done by an amateur who has never cooked before. Carrots which is the only side vegetable are boiled to the point where they lose their colours a become pastel orange mush. Clam chowder has absolutely no clams in it only potato and cream. Lobster is overcooked. Bread tastes like it came from the bargain section of a gas station convenience store. salad bar is worse than two week old bagged salad from the grocery store. For the prices they charge it should be a handmade salad not a slop tray salad bar. Salad dressings taste like they came from the dollar store. Food presentation looks as if it was thrown together to be served to animals nothing like the restaurant version of the images posted. service is ridiculously slow Even when the restaurant is 3/4 empty. It took 30 minutes to take our drink order 30 more minutes to bring the drink to us and an hour from the time we got our drinks and ordered till we got our food. Prices are outrageous for quality of food and service you get. Portions are large, but getting more bad food is not a good thing. If you like quantity but quality is unimportant and this is the place for you. But if you like good quality food There are much better places to spend your money in Collingwood. For those of you that think Rock Dell is good do yourself a favour and try a good steakhouse, like one of the following Ruth Chris Steakhouse or Hy’s Steakhouse or even The Keg to get a point of reference.
Excellent old school steakhouse. Good product and prices. A little short staffed but our waitress did her best as she was the only one.

We found this little place and so glad we did it’s a family owned business. That’s been here for more than 45 years. It’s right down the street from the Living Waters resort. The atmosphere is straight out of the 80s and a little dark, but that was OK. We had a nice open window near our table and our server. Ashley was absolutely wonderful wonderful.. Had great options for both wine and food and I couldn’t believe that you would get a salad bar, a soup of vegetable and a potato with your meal and if you got a steak, the mushrooms came with it. Absolutely enough to feed a super hungry bear. We both got the filet mignon and they were absolutely delicious. We have in bacon. They came with steamed carrots that were cooked perfectly. The mushrooms were delicious. The salad bar was small, but delicious dressing was very savory. Prices were more than reasonable
I don’t think a lot of tourists know about this place or go there. It seemed most of the people there were elderly. They had a beautiful second room for what seemed to be a private party. We might even go there again tonight for dinner it was that good and again, especially from the US. The prices are beyond reasonable.
