If you're expecting an authentic Italian dining experience, you’d be disappointed. The pasta is mushy, clearly not fresh. Many of the mussels had separated from their shells, which is unacceptable. And the tiramisu dessert is watery. Overall, the prices are too high for a small town. Not recommended.

Cozy restaurant with a good selection of dishes, pizza was unfortunately not available today but we loved every dish we’ve ordered! Our server was super friendly and welcoming. Carbonara is a must-try! 👍

I have never been so disappointed in the food we received last night. Worst veal Parmesan and pasta - tasted like it came out of frozen food box! Mussels tough and salty! I really don’t understand how you can screw up good Italian! Will not revisit! We have been told by others that the food was not great - proved right! Too bad used to be our fav spot!

We have visited Tesoro several times in the past few months. We have really enjoyed our choices of food, and each time we have been very pleased with our choices. The staff are very pleasant and professional. We will definitely visit Tesoro again
We’ve shopped at the Mercator for quite some time but have never tried the restaurant. We did so this evening and BOY have we been missing out. 😂
We had a wonderful meal and can strongly recommend the calamari and the Caesar salad as starters.
The lasagna was REALLY good( think ultimate comfort food) and the absolute star of the show were the green curry mussels. Wonderfully rich, a touch spicy (but not too much) and a real treat on a cold evening.
I’m sure there are many other wonderful things to try (the pizzas looked amazing!).
Our server Alex did a great job. Will definitely return.

Okay, I technically have 2 reviews, but only the picture for the more recent one.
In the past, I've been blessed with multiple opportunities to enjoy the food at Tesoro.
I've had the Lasagna, which is always excellent. Chicken Parm, also excellent. Veal Scallopini was another excellent dish I had...
Recently, I actually got their Shepherd's pie but it was a frozen pie. Thought I'd give it a whirl.
Frankly, the only thing I have negative to say was the potatoes were still fairly starchy and I think they could have been whipped and seasoned a lot better, but the filling itself was absolutely incredible which totally made up for it.
Now, this restaurant is excellent. The service and the atmosphere is phenomenal, especially for a nice date or small outing ...
Now this is a 4 star in comparison to ALL Italians restaurants I've eaten at all over the world.
For Canada, in Ontario, and a town like Collingwood, this is an absolute excellent experience overall and I highly recommend it to anyone.
Here's a pic of my recent frozen Shep's pie, the other meals I never snapped any photos of but they've been over the years.

Best pizza in Collingwood! I mean, you could goto Italy for as good...but that's a long way. Eat local ;)
One of our best Italian dinning experiences in a long time. The food was excellent and the service was above average, especially Zack.

An intimate restaurant with great food and very nice servers. Our favourite place in Collingwood.
I write the reviews and unfortunately my wife doesn’t. We’ve eaten at Tesoro before when we lived in Collingwood. We always enjoyed the food and during the ‘plague’ we’d order their takeout pizza.
My wife’s experience at Tesoro’s today was totally unacceptable! She was there celebrating a friend’s birthday with 4 other friends, so 6 of them. They’d just received their appetizers when the waiter dropped the full glass of wine he was passing her on the table. She was covered in wine and broken glass which resulted in a couple of cuts. She was given 2 bandaids, some napkins to wipe off the wine and a fresh glass of wine. She had to request that her bruschetta be replaced as she feared there may have been broken glass in it….something she should not have had to ask for! I know that the restaurant business is a tough one but I’d expected that at least her glass of wine would be ‘on the house’ and actually would have expected that her meal be free! Not sure what’s up with Tesoro but that’s definitely NOT ‘service’. We’ll never be back as Collingwood has so many good restaurants….shame on Tesoro’s managers and owners!!!

Always a good experience.....a note though...because the cooking is done in the dining environment, your clothes will smell like a meatball when you leave. Small price to pay for a delicious meal!
