The place is looking pretty shabby. They desperately need to replace the filthy, salt stained carpets and do a general refresh of the place.

Fun place with great schnitzel and lots of beers from around the world. Service was very good.

Our Father's day Brunch was great! The restaurant was very accommodating as we had a baby stroller. They made sure we were in an area that we would not be in the way of anyone.

The restaurant has an interesting interior with all the ski gear. The food is ok - schnitzel too big. Music is too loud. Service was very good.

We were so excited to try the pork schnitzel dinner. Compared to other schnitzels we have had in the past, this was most disappointing. The meat was tough and the coating was dark in colour, as if it was deep fried too long. The rosti potatoes were fine, but very bland. The pretzels and green salad we had as appetizers were good. The service was excellent and the ambiance welcoming.

We immersed ourselves in true rustic swiss ambiance with great music and amazing food. Both cheese and wild meat fondues were wonderful!

Had the Shnitzel, it was okay. Have eaten Shnitzel in a lot of places from excellent to poor there's is fair the spatzle was very good, could have used a bit of gravy to enhance the flavour. The decor is very Swiss and the setting very comfortable our server was very pleasant and attentive. Overall a good experience.

A gem of a restaurant with a wonderful ambiance, great food, vast selection of beer, and a thoughtful and attentive wait staff. A great place to have celebrated a recent career milestone!

Average at best. Schnitzel was dry without the sauce, rosti potatoes were pasty and too thick to crisp up as expected. Cheese fondue and the complimentary birthday cake saved the night

Had a wonderful lunch/dinner with the family the service was fantastic and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were on the larger side, and was of great value for such great prices. Great place to eat for all ages.

The Alphorn Restaurant in Collingwood delivers a refreshingly original and eclectic experience, authentically capturing the spirit of a culturally Swiss establishment. We visited for breakfast, a less common time to explore such cuisine, but the menu remained diverse and true to the Swiss culinary tradition. I had the mushroom cheese omelette with rösti and toast — straightforward, unembellished, and exactly as described. Others in our party enjoyed poached eggs and the popular schnitzel and egg combo, which was a standout for its novelty at breakfast. A unique highlight was the server's willingness to accommodate an unusual request for mashed potatoes and gravy — a testament to their excellent service. Pricing hovered around $15 per entrée, perhaps slightly above typical breakfast rates, though it may reflect the specialty nature of the cuisine. Including juices, coffee, and tip, our total for four came just under $100. While the food quality was fair, it's important to note that breakfast may not be the most accurate representation of the full menu's potential. The warm service and cultural charm of the space make me inclined to return, especially for a late lunch or dinner. Bonus points for having vegetarian (not vegan) options available, which pleased a few in our group.

Beer was flat and on a warm side. Microwaveable desserts should not be served. Great vibe though.
