It was an amazing birthday experience at the Alphorn! From the original Swiss ambiance to the warm and welcoming servers and yummy food, the Alphorn always comes through!
Food is okay. Schnitzel was a little dry but the atmosphere and service are always top notch
The restaurant was absolutely packed! Our server was friendly and courteous. The food arrived quickly and was very good.
Great double birthday dinner! Our second year in a row celebrating here and always fun. Apres ski vibes and great Swiss/Bavarian food.
Great atmosphere! Food was good. Fondue bread should have been warm but otherwise we had a fun time
We invited our family visiting from the US to the Alphorn but it was extremely disappointing. The schnitzel was dry, thin, tasteless and actually looked like yesterday’s cold leftovers! The beef bourginon with pasta once again looked like it had been shoved in a microwave and served up. The house wine looked and tasted like it was watered down. The apple strudel portion was tiny and certainly did not match the price. A totally sad excuse for a restaurant. Don’t waste your money. We dined here several years ago and it has certainly changed for the worse.

The free ice cream portion size is perfect. Parent-approved.

This place has completed LOST ITS TOUCH! I’ve been coming to the Alphorn my entire life, probably close to 15 years. I’ve had countless meals and birthday parties as a kid. The past 4 years have been the worst i’ve ever seen this place. They don’t even pan fry the schnitzel anymore I heard and that’s what made the food so good. The staff is not the same friendly people that always used to be there. Shame on whatever greedy new owner went in there and changed everything. Schnitzel = Chewy. Salad = Ruined (Used to be a classic) AND BRING BACK NO RESERVATIONS!!! That was the whole point of the place. Shame on new owners!!!!! Past 4 years have sucked.

You go to Alphorn for the general ski ambiance and a quick meal and is great for families. However, the quick dining experience comes with a cost as the quality of the food and service can vary significantly.
Food and service was great! They even made our anniversary special with a surprise desert. Would definitely go back.

We selected this restaurant for a special occasion specifically for its unique concept, but the food was an absolute disaster. The overall impression was that the dishes were previously cooked and reheated, not freshly prepared. The Hunters Platter was a complete letdown: The schnitzel was dry, leathery, and entirely devoid of flavor. The boiled potatoes were bland and unacceptable for a proper restaurant We strongly advise against dining here.
Such a great experience from the decor that is aged and iconic to the fondue, desserts, service and birthday traditions that they do. Great evening!
Pork Schnitzel and Spetzle was very dry even with gravy. Otherwise, the service, beer and ambiance is amazing.
We celebrated a family birthday & had excellent service by Wanda & great food! We've never been disappointed ever eating at the Alphorn 😊
