This was one of the best stops during our road trip through Ontario. We arrived late, but Nik greeted us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had a peaceful night’s rest. His wife also offered us tea the next morning, which was a lovely touch. I would definitely come back if I'm passing through again!

Decided to stay here while on a trip to the area after seeing good reviews here on Google. Many of the reviews stated that the location was dated however I did not find that to be the case.
In fact I found the room to be extremely pleasent with plenty of amenities. We had a microwave, a kettle, coffee maker, a whole set of silverware plates and bowls in addition to a fridge. This let us use the local grocery store to get cereal for the morning and eat takeout much easier.
The rooms were very clean, service was good and the people we interacted with were exceptionally kind.
The only things odd I would say was that the room we were in had some light switches that appeared to do nothing, and lighting was relegated to a lamp for the bedroom. Didn't heavily impact our experience but had a few times where a phone flashlight was used.
Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location to a family or friend staying in the area. I really enjoyed our time spent here
Rooms: Lighting is a bit limited but fine. Fridge, microwave and kettle allows for a lot with the additional silverware.
Nearby activities: Trails nearby and skiing is everywhere in winter.
Walkability: Town is completely walkable. Easily from the hotel.
