Decided to stay here while on a trip to the area after seeing good reviews here on Google. Many of the reviews stated that the location was dated however I did not find that to be the case.
In fact I found the room to be extremely pleasent with plenty of amenities. We had a microwave, a kettle, coffee maker, a whole set of silverware plates and bowls in addition to a fridge. This let us use the local grocery store to get cereal for the morning and eat takeout much easier.
The rooms were very clean, service was good and the people we interacted with were exceptionally kind.
The only things odd I would say was that the room we were in had some light switches that appeared to do nothing, and lighting was relegated to a lamp for the bedroom. Didn't heavily impact our experience but had a few times where a phone flashlight was used.
Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location to a family or friend staying in the area. I really enjoyed our time spent here
Rooms: Lighting is a bit limited but fine. Fridge, microwave and kettle allows for a lot with the additional silverware.
Nearby activities: Trails nearby and skiing is everywhere in winter.
Walkability: Town is completely walkable. Easily from the hotel.

This hotel is a little dated, but the suite was clean and spacious and the bathroom looked fairly newly updated. The extra space was perfect for getting our camping gear organized for our trip into Algonquin. The gentleman at the desk was also helpful when we checked in.

Nearby activities: Right in town close to shopping, beaches.
Safety: Felt very safe.
Walkability: Deep River is a wonderful place to walk.

My partner I stayed here recently while I am recovering from an injury and I needed a place that was accessible; when I let the owner know, he placed us in the most accessible location without hesitation. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The room came with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, full coffee maker, kettle, TV, and living room. They provide basic cutlery, glasses and mugs, dish clothes, and tea towels - there was even a strainer! While we do not go away to cook, it was great that we were able to bring our own coffee, buy some milk, and pick up some easy in-between meals. The Santa Fe restaurant attached was absolutely delicious, filling, and the service was amazing. Sharon, our waitress, was especially proactive and kind. Housekeeping (I think also the owner) was so gracious and on top of everything. We were coming from Ottawa, and we do not drive - the location is perfect for getting off of the bus (a 15 minute walk with benches along the way), and the downtown of Deep River is handy, easy to maneuver as the town seems to have planned for accessibility, and with the view of the boardwalk and river, a stunning and convenient getaway. We highly recommend Shemron Suites, and will be returning to do some more motel camping!
Rooms: Very clean and fresh; you can tell that they are busy, and everything is thoroughly checked over and care is taken in cleaning. Like Ikea, they have thought of everything.
Nearby activities: Community center with available washroom if you are out shopping or walking by the water or at one of the playgrounds, which includes a thrift shop that raises money for the hospital. A 6 lane bowling alley, boardwalk, beaches, playgrounds, craft fairs, geek fest.
Safety: Walking around the community during the day, I felt extremely safe as everyone was warm and friendly; the nights are quite, we did not hear one police siren in three days, and the staff at Shemron Suites is alert and available. The motel was very child and family friendly. I have since recommended it to all of my family who comes to visit in the area.
Walkability: Very walkable. The motel is right behind the downtown strip mall and right across from the river and a short walk to the boardwalk for getting outdoors. The community has benches on every block, so if you need a moment to take it all in, it is the perfect place. Shemron Suites has both upstairs and main floor rooms and are very considerate.
Food & drinks: Santa Fe Restaurant, Godfather's Pizza a two minute shortcut away, Tim Hortons up the street, Valu Mart across the street, and Long Shots Cafe. We had seen online that there was a Bistro 85, who sometimes had live music, but could not find it. I could not walk far enough to the marina restaurant with my injury, but that is on my goal list for the next time!

Stayed here over a weekend and the room was clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Shower was clean and hot.
It’s close to everything and a lot of places to eat and check out are within walking distance.
We got in later than check in but they were willing to accommodate and we were incredibly grateful for the teams help!
