Wonderful food, coffee and service!

This place is a surprising gem. Given its place above the indigenous art gallery (also excellent) right at the heart of the heart of the Mohawk community in Tyendinaga, I think what we were expecting, and looking forward to, was a hearty stew, cornbread and all that good stuff.What we really weren't expecting is one of the best Afternoon Teas this side of the Atlantic. Of course there are lots of lunch options on the menu too, but given that tea (as a meal, rather than an expensive social frippery) is a rare thing in Ontario we choose that: tea for two. It arrived as a beautifully presented and extremely reasonable priced, Great Giza Pyramid of finger sandwiches, seasonal soft fruits, crudités and sweets. It took about an hour to eat!My one and only quibble is that they don't use loose leaf tea and their teapots are lidless. So, you only get one properly hot and correctly brewed cup.Anywhere else, I'd deduct a star for that oversight, but with fresh decor, beautiful presentation, attentive service and the location in an art gallery it is still a five star experience in my opinion.

Great food. Ambitious Menu but the chef hits the right notes everytime. Daily specials are very delicious.

One of the best afternoon tea I ever have. More importantly, it opens on Sunday. :)
