As a traveller, this space is like any other pub in southern Ontario, has hearty food but i wouldn’t call it amazing or anything, atmosphere was clean and nice, empty when i went, just another restaurant in my opinion.

My husband and i were very excited to try the Drayton Chophouse this past weekend, since it is so close to home and we normally go for our date nights to Wildcraft or the Keg in the city. The restaurant is absolutely adorable and what a great patio area! but unfortunately our meal wasnt what we had hoped for. Our server didnt seem to care or really listen to what we requested and didnt seem very interested in caring if we were enjoying our meal or not. My husbands steak was very raw when he requested Med rare and he didnt get the seasonal veggies he was supposed to get. The mashed potatoes tasted like boxed mashed potatoes and were't enjoyable, as they were very liquidy and mushy. We requested an order of wings, extra crispy but they also were not anything close to crispy & the sauce was not what we requested. I will say, the nachos werent bad. I requested no cheese as i cant have dairy and they were actually not bad at all! Over all, my husband and i left pretty bummed that the food wasnt what we had hoped for. Hopefully they can figure out small things like that, so we can maybe try again in the future some day. The other meals people had definitely looked delicious i will say! & my sangria was really good! just our meal was pretty disappointing :(

We stopped by the Dayton Chop House this afternoon for lunch. What a great idea that was... We met owners Vidit and Chef who sat and chatted with us. We ordered from the sandwich menu with a few beers and cocktails... the sandwiches were fantastic... truly amazing. Hats off to these guys for making this a quaint location with a first class menu and service to match.

We had lunch here yesterday and we will definitely be back. The place is so charming inside and they have a good sized patio with wooden booths and heaters. The food was phenomenal. We ordered their house lager( very good and $19/ pitcher), Butter Chicken Nuggets( don't let the name fool you, they are more like tenders size) , Chili Cauliflower and Jalapeno Poppers. Although it all sounds like typical pub grub, the flavor profiles were delicious. Even the dipping sauce for the Poppers was really tasty and different. Service was friendly and efficient. If you've never been to Drayton, do you self a favor and take a nice back roads drive, enjoy lunch or dinner at the Chophouse and go for a nice walk on the trail along the water.

The name chop house you think they could cook a steak? Nope sent back twice and still wasn’t right. Why serve a steak covered in gravy. Server was nice but that’s all this place has going for it. Never will visit here again.

Group of 15 of us were there for dinner on a Friday evening. Waitress was Brigett, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided wonderful service. She was very attentive to our needs and food came out quickly, was warm, and very good tasting.

I have never eaten here. I have been told the food is excellent. I probably won't have that chance due to a bad experience. I purchased a gift certificate for a 50th wedding anniversary gift. The gift certificate was supposed to be texted to the bride on June 7 at 8 p.m. The certificate did not arrive to the people on time. I went into the restaurant to clear this up and possibly get a paper certificate. I was told everything would be fine as long as they had a copy of the confirmation receipt. None of that went on when they went to have dinner. They were hassled when they tried to redeem.
Exceptional service and good food. There was 15 of us and the staff handled it perfectly. Food came out all together (which most restaurants can't achieve) and it was still hot. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I took a picture of most dishes and they all looked amazing. All of our friends said each dish was delicious. Great job Drayton Chop House

food atmosphere are good. Service has been consistently slow. ordered a virgin daiquiri and they charged me the same price as a regular daiquiri. Won’t be in a hurry to go back any time soon.

Drayton Chop House really hit the spot! I tried the chili chicken naan with rice, shrimp fish tacos, and the pork schnitzel—and every single dish was delicious. The flavors were bold, the portions were just right, and everything was served hot and fresh. The beers were honestly some of the best I’ve had in a while—great selection! The vibe was relaxed, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back for more!
