As a traveller, this space is like any other pub in southern Ontario, has hearty food but i wouldn’t call it amazing or anything, atmosphere was clean and nice, empty when i went, just another restaurant in my opinion.
We stopped by the Dayton Chop House this afternoon for lunch. What a great idea that was... We met owners Vidit and Chef who sat and chatted with us. We ordered from the sandwich menu with a few beers and cocktails... the sandwiches were fantastic... truly amazing. Hats off to these guys for making this a quaint location with a first class menu and service to match.
We had lunch here yesterday and we will definitely be back. The place is so charming inside and they have a good sized patio with wooden booths and heaters. The food was phenomenal. We ordered their house lager( very good and $19/ pitcher), Butter Chicken Nuggets( don't let the name fool you, they are more like tenders size) , Chili Cauliflower and Jalapeno Poppers. Although it all sounds like typical pub grub, the flavor profiles were delicious. Even the dipping sauce...
