While you cannot beat the food and it is consistently good, do get: The turkey bacon sandwich Egg salad sandwich The soups (any of them) The specialty coffee/drinks. (The apple pie fog is to die for!).
But the best advice is to come early and get a spot. The atmosphere is warm, the staff are super friendly, and the decor is lovely. You cannot miss this gem. Just sitting and relaxing here is wonderful and we consistently take home a box of goodies to freeze until we can get here again!

Surprising yet delightful mouthwatering and satisfying lunch we had. The soup was zesty but not spicy. The sandwich was out of this world! Thick light buttery bread topped with lightly tossed dressing in the salad within my egg salad sandwich. Would highly recommend this hidden gem! Attentive and courteous staff answering every question we had. Loved it! High fives all around!

We stumbled upon Union Block by accident in a recent trip to Dresden to visit the Black Historical Museum. Union Bakery is, without a doubt, the BEST bake shop and cafe ever! The staff and the atmosphere are wonderful but most of all the FOOD and BAKED GOODS are DELICIOUS. We need a shop just like this one in Guelph Ontario! Well done, Union Bakery.

My husband and I ate here for lunch today (on the recommendation of Steven at the Josiah Henson Museum!) I enjoyed the egg salad sandwich and roasted butternut squash soup. The soup was very unusual and I meant to ask them what the secret ingredients were! Husband had the chicken bacon sandwich and salad,. He said the sandwich was great! He also enjoyed a latte! He had a small issue with his meal and mentioned it when the server was clearing the table. They immediately made it right in a very kind way! We could not resist getting desserts to go! The coconut tart is the best I ever tasted! Ah-mazing! Would very much recommend Union Block!!!

Felt like I was in a bustling French bakery. So many amazing pastry/dessert choices! Sandwiches made on fresh baked focaccia bread- probably the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Definitely worth the drive to Dresden. Enjoy a fresh sandwich and load up on the desserts to take home.
Vegetarian options: Delicious sandwich loaded with crisp fresh veggies and amazing dressing and garlic aioli.
Got some assorted desserts now a few times within the last month and every time I have been so happy with my purchases so flavourful and very generous portions very reasonable prices for the sizes of dessert you are getting highly reccomend .They also make sandwiches and salads and scones as well I hope to try those soon , very friendly staff nice and clean sitting area

Stopped in as I was in the neighbourhood and was looking for a small café to grab a drink. Grabbed an eclair and a London Fog.
The eclair was delectable. Amazing.
However... The London fog... The. Best. London. Fog. I. Have. Ever. Had.
I have no words beyond that. 13/10. I am not from the area, but will always make it a priority to stop now. Keep making great food and drinks.
