I am convinced that the reviews here are purely written by people who don’t know what sushi and poke bowls are supposed to look and taste like. We came here with high hopes and got the torched salmon roll and the tataki spicy salmon bowl. The torched salmon roll was good - just not $15-before-tax-and-tip-good for 8 pieces. The rolls weren’t particularly large either, i’ve had many better and bigger rolls in toronto for $12.The tataki spicy salmon bowl was a little disappointing. The tataki was paper thin and seared badly, and not seasoned at all. They gave us a stingy serving of like a quarter of an avocodo, which, along with the salmon, was lost in the bowl when we mixed everything together in the excess of rice. The huge amount of spicy mayo they put in it helped flavour the bowl, but it really could have used another dressing, like teriyaki sauce or ponzu. I knew it was a red flag when i walked into the store and they were charging extra for tempura bits, because any other sushi bowl place usually has 2-3 free sauces, and around 4 free toppings like seaweed and fried onion bits. Not only was this store limited in these options but they were also overcharging these bland bowls for $16.The staff was nice, but the store only had 4 seats and had this repetitive, low-fi video game music that sounded like the track of papa’s sushieria if they made that into a game. I couldn’t stand the music, even while just waiting for the food.Overall, this place has overpriced mediocre food. The menu looks like it’s priced reasonably until you recieve your portion sizes. The quality of food does not justify the price at all.

I have been craving aburi sushi and finally found this place in Hamilton. I asked for light sauce on top which I think brings out the flavor more than a heavy layer of sauce.

I had one of those ready made sushi bowl type things from the fridge. Unfortunately I think my bowl might have gone bad. I was unable to eat it, the salmon made me gag in a way I never had before with salmon. No hate to this place, I probably just had a bad bowl. But I'd recommend getting them to make you a fresh bowl to avoid having the same outcome I did.

Average Japanese food. Not bad. Not great. There’s better quality, more affordable options within 5-15 mins of here.

Small mostly takeout place with a few window seats, but the food is absolutely amazing. They get the most fresh and delicious fish, and their vegetarian bowls are outstanding as well. Always super pleasant and food is made quickly. We’ve eaten there and done take out. Highly recommend!

The food was really enjoyable, and there was a lot. Well there wasn't a *lot* of fish, but a lot of rice, etc. The test was good, and it certainly seemed fresh. I would give it 5 stars if it had more fish. Nice to see they didn't ask for a tip on the payment device.

I am so disappointed with my order. We eat sushi all the time and was really excited about this place after seeing the reviews. I placed a takeout order of $100 and everything came straight from the fridge. The rice in everything, including the poke bowl, was ice cold to the point where it was hard, so it's been refrigerated for more than a few hours and definitely before I placed the order. Not what I expected with a la carte sushi place especially with such high reviews and definitely not at the price point.

We just came back from Japan and were craving for authentic Japanese food. I had the spicy tuna bowl and he had the spicy salmon bowl. They both were so delicious. We also bought some sushi to have it for later on. It’s a small place, only has 3 chairs. Just so glad we found this gem.

This is a takeout place, basically elevated grocery store sushi + bowls. I got the spicy salmon bowl + crispy tempura bits + a Diet Coke and it came out to $21.09.The salmon to rice ratio wasn’t the greatest (not much salmon) and it was super cold because it was from the fridge (I was expecting it to be fresh made per order). Kind of expensive for what you get. Taste was good overall, nothing amazing but not bad either.

Fantastic. Fresh, very high quality, creative dishes, and wonderful tastes. Try their Pinbone smoked haddock, it will blow your mind. My Wife and I bought a large try (yes it’s large), sat at home with a nice wine and had a fantastic dinner. Highly recommended. I’ll be back next week. Thanks guys for setting up shop in Dundas ??

Hanma is one of my favs! Their fish is always super fresh, and everything always tastes delicious. My go tos are the Tataki Spicy Tuna Bowl and the Yasai Don Bowl. Also really like their Tuna Onigiri. I always get a Seaweed Salad to add into my bowls (realistically I eat most of it before it even gets into the bowl though). Love that they also sell their Teriyaki Sauce bottles. I've probably purchased 4 so far. I add it to everything at home!

Yum! Got a few rice bowls and onigiri takeout from their pre-packed fridge. Onigiri was exactly what I needed, so good. The vegan rice bowl was delicious as well, and all the toppings were so tasty, although i do wish there was more protein - tofu or edamame would be a great addition. The ready fridge is super convenient for a quick takeaway meal! Definitely interested in returning to try the sushi and ramen

Salmon and tuna bowls are very underwhelming. They have been in the fridge for way too long that the rice is very, very hard and dry. Toppings are insufficient too, obviously to cut cost.Onigiri has the same problem, very little ingredient for the amount of rice and the rice is quite loose. This is not how you make your money, and what I received does not justify your price. Do better.
