Stopped in to pick up some dinner.
Fast, efficient and delicious take out set-up.
Each dish had its own unique flavour.
It was healthy, satisfying and reasonably priced. They also do catering which I will definitely be using for my next event !

Came across Nellie James today and ordered the osso bucco with dill vegetables, mango chutney jumbo shrimp with rice, bread pudding and the cheesecake with cranberry compote. Everything was absolutely delicious. Osso bucco was perfectly cooked, vegetables had nice crunch and amazing flavour. Everything was spot on and worth every penny. Will certainly be returning and trying everything on the menu. Great little place, highly recommend.

Outstanding Beef Tenderloin - reheat instructions brought out the perfect 'doneness' for our tastes and the meat was seasoned beautifully. Garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and texture perfect, with just the right amount of garlic so as not to overpower. I added some of my own steamed broccoli to make a superb plated at home Saturday night meal. Topping off was an absolutely amazing 'Death by Chocolate' dessert - not being ones for over the top sweet, this gorgeous dessert hit the right notes with a ganache that was to 'die' for :)
We've had several meals now from Nellie James and each one has been extremely well done in presentation, flavours and portions. We keep going back whenever in the Dundas area! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Devine! Or should I say sublime. Rarely will you find a place that packs care and flavor in one package. A gourmet experience no doubt.

The food is top notch but for prefixed food you'd think it wouldn't be the same price as the restaurant you would go to.

Nellie James over all is a good experience. We purchased the prix fixe for 48$+HST. The quality of the food is unquestionable. I think some of the tastes went over my head? We really enjoyed the salad for instance as it had loads of toppings, but didn't like the seasonings in the lamb pasta (too salty, and confused about sort or vinaigary-malty flavor). I'm sure others would like it, because I feel that the flavour they are putting out is intentional, but not for me.The main: meat loaf was nice and tender and came with a portion cup of its gravy to cook in while reheating, which is nice to maintain its moisture. Portion size was reasonable.The dessert was a Cardamon and pistachio heulva. Which I liked, but my fiance did not (he doesn't like cardamon).I think next time I'd rather get their a la carte, since their individual items have similar portions, comes with a side of your choice, which would be preferable as it seems some items on the menu are hit or miss for us.

Just finished dinner prepared by Nellie James. Delicious. Beef tenderloin and stuffed leg of lamb. Mashed potatoes and salad. The portions were generous. The instructions clear and the food delicious . There is no question that my husband I will order again and again and …. Every opportunity we have. Thanks Nellie James!

My first time ordering food from here and I found it very expensive for what I got. The food looked ok, but what I ordered was very average taste wise. The seared tuna was seared perfectly, but all I could taste was the over use of black pepper. The rest of the seasoning on the fish didn't do anything for the gorgeous looking Tuna steak. The two sides, rice and truffle mushrooms were just ok but nothing special. The truffle mushrooms where the best part of the meal. It's tough to screw up truffle mushrooms. My critique comes from my experience owning restaurants in the past and traveling. Very disappointing!

Wow!! My husband surprised me with the Valentine's dinner. Everything was absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend to anyone considering gourmet food at home. The dishes were so easy to prepare and absolutely ? delicious! Thank you ?
