Well what can I say , we walked into this place as it is located beside the Algonquin Pines Campground. It was dinner time on a Wednesday, no cars in the parking lot, which is usually a good indicator for me and I should have trust my instinct. At first entrance glancing around I felt uneasy about it, and left, but then returned and thought we would give it a try anyway as There aren’t many options for places to eat in Dwight. The older gentleman behind the bar can hardly walk, but he is trying his best. He was the bar tender and waiter, maybe the owner too, lol I’m not sure.

Another couple rolled in right behind us, they looked as uncertain as we did, but ordered.

We ordered 1 lb wings each and onion rings and a 1 Coors Light. The onion rings came first and they were luke warm. The wings arrived, my husband received 10 and I had 6 on my plate. The bill came to $67.00.

I could hear the cook yelling at the older guy as he was not able to pick up food as fast as the cook prepared it.

Lesson here is if there are no cars in the parking lot, keep driving by.

It’s a neat looking place and with the right management and staff I’m sure it could be a great place. Needs a lot of improvement!

Thought we’d check it out because we are staying at the campground next door but awful. Walked in, only 6 other people in the place, and stood there waiting for someone to greet us. Guy came over and took dishes off a table and said “we are only serving alcohol” and walked away. We sat down, he came over and asked what we wanted (no menus), brought us our drinks and walked away. After a few minutes he brought out platters of food for the couple sitting at the bar. I’m a server so usually I give the benefit of the doubt but this was not it

One of dirtiest places I have ever visited! Frozen pizza from costco and burgers from costco. It need some serious change in management...

Walked into restaurant. Stood there for a while with no one welcoming us in. Not even acknowledged. So we went to the boiler room and had great service

I've never seen a place like this. There was so much stuff around (soldering iron, random boxes, a computer) that you had barely any idea where to put your drink while playing pool.

Mario is a banger of a host. He is very kind and pays attention to your requests. The onion rings were hands-down the best of our life. If you pass by, this is the place where have your dinner on the road!

It's a great place for a small town, service was exceptional. I see people complaining about the food on here but the food is good for the size of the operation.

Great place to enjoy the evening! Friendly service! I can't rate the food as I haven't eaten there yet but, I did question a patron about how she liked her plate of a hamburger and fries. Her reply, 'absolutely delicious '. And I've seen repeat families eating their meals. I gather they enjoy the food. I'll have to eat there sometime to see for myself and return to this review.

They have a pool table at $2/game.

A LIVE band on Friday nights, which is also 'Open Mic' night, so bring your voice, instruments, or use the house band's equipment including keyboard. All ages are welcome! A friendly atmosphere!

The staff is extremely nice. Eating here felt like being at a close friends home. The owner greets every new customer and makes sure they are comfortable. Although it is a bar and grill it is very child friendly. Food was great, big portions, and came out fairly quick. GREAT EXPERIENCE. Highly recommended coming to eat here.

Vegetarian options: Has many vegan and vegetarian options.

Parking: Open spots everywhere. Not very busy.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. The owner makes everyone feel at home and comfortable in the establishment.

Was in the area for an overnight stay. Friend and I decided to stop by this place after a hike and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the people were just so amazing. There was live music and WOW, what an enjoyable experience overall. Felt SO welcomed by the locals.

I really can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area!

A place filled with memories. The bartender, who’s likely around 80 years old, shared so many fascinating stories about the history of the place and the people who helped shape it into a sort of living museum. We created our own memories there too, and I look forward to returning in the future to show my kids where I’ve been. I even left behind a piece of currency as a memento.

The food wasn’t great, but the atmosphere was incredible.

Parking: Its free and not busy. Plenty of parking available.
