Had the luau pizza and some hot chocolate. Pizza was excellent with thin crust and lots of toppings. Our order took a little bit longer so they gave us delicious corn bread for free. Great service, lovely atmosphere.

If you want somthing to complement the terrible beer they have on tap. Try out their burnt dry oversmoked wings. If you want to listen to a 2 man band with a drummer who has never played before he showed up for the gig. I highly suggest you go there. If you like asking for your bills and have to walk up a half hour later to pay at the counter. Go there. Overall if u like terrible food, terrible music and a waitress who makes u wait for everything i highly suggest you go to the smokehouse . You will be dissipointed!

Food was good and wasn't slow to come out but the service didn't check on us for refills or anything. Automatic 20% gratuity for a group of 8 or more is a scab, especially when the service wasmid.Second visit it took forever for them to take drink orders, and over an hour to take food ordersI took another star off because a fountain drink should not be $4, and a $18 hamburger should include fries.

As soon as we arrived we were very abruptly greeted and told that our group of 10 would have have an automatic 20% added to our bills... no "good evening" or "welcome". The waitress was extremely abrupt and unpleasant. One of our group stated that we were there yesterday, as we have been staying at the forest, and was not charged an automatic gratuity. We were again abruptly told we should have been charged.Due to the rude staff, half of us wanted to leave but the others were too hungry and wanted to stay because there was no other option. We decided to stay.We were eventually seated and then told by the waitress that she checked with her manguer and "we just got lucky we weren't charged yesterday". Again, very short, turse and unpleasant. We then waited another 20 minutes for water, a further 20 for drink orders. Food orders were taken at close to the 60 minute mark.Another large group came and left because they got tired of waiting.Waitress did eventually come and make an insincere attempt to apologize for the slow service by making a plethora of excuses.I see a review from just previous to our arrival with an answer from the owner, again, making excuses for the bad service. He has indicate that they staff based on trail passes sold each day and that only 30 were sold today. I question that knowing the we have a group of 10 staying on site which counts for a third of that number.Food was only middling with very small portions both times we visited this weekend. While waiting, we all agreed that we typically tip good wait staff at least 20% these days so the 20% automatic gratuity wasn't the issue. The issues revolved around the very unpleasant attitude of the waitress, very poor service and expensive mediocre food.We won't walk across the parking lot to go back. Can't imagine why anyone would make an effort to come from down the road or further. Our next visit to the Forest will be with plans to avoid the Smokehouse at all costs.

Had a great day of sledding and went in with 3 people from our riding crew, to have the restaurant decently full with only 1 server on…. Not sure who manages this restaurant but they should figure out their serving staff schedule and maybe schedule more people to accommodate the amount of people that are in the restaurant. Not to mention our winter being completely garbage and we got a dump of snow Monday (family day) so wouldn’t your expect the week of more snow to have more people in the forest and using the restaurant…. Anyway we waited 25 mins to get asked what we wanted to drink not even a food order then waited another 30 mins and still didn’t even receive our drinks before we had had enough and left… genuinely this isn’t the servers fault, but more less the manager that is doing the schedule.. figure it out. Awesome place just clearly garbage management. Server was lovely

The service was awful. Sam, our waitress, took forever to reach our table. After that, when the food came, she asked “How are the first couple of bites tasting?” and she left before we could even reply to her (she wasn’t busy or anything like that). We hadn’t tried the food when she asked, so it felt like she wanted to ask that “server question” so she was fine with our table so she could stop taking care of us (and soshe did).Food didn’t taste good and the burger was nothing special. I was also very cold in the restaurant. We wanted to pay and, like I said, she never came back. It was a completely upsetting experience.

The menu looked incredible and had my hopes high. I love barbecue and the whole vibe of the restaurant. However, my fiancée was not served alcohol even though she is 24 and by no means looks 18. We understand the law as her and I BOTH work in the service industry, regularly checking identification. We offered two pieces including a passport and a health card with our phone but we're still denied. Had the food been spectacular the experience may not have been so poor, yet my burger was a measly portion (unlike most BBQ places) that was not accompanied even by a side of fries. They were short staffed it appeared, yet even so I found that the waitress was quite absent. Definitely have no interest in returning.

We recently ate at the smokehouse on a snowmobile trip to Haliburton Forest. The Brisket Mac and Cheese was amazing and the Smoked Burger is exceptional. The atmosphere is cool and the smell of the smoker makes your mouth water as soon as you pull in the lot.Mike spent time talking to my son about guitars and music and even let him pickup his prized guitar.Little did we know that when we went back out to finish our ride, our one snowmobile wouldn’t run. We’ll out comes Mike a a gang of customers who lifted the dead sled into our trailer ❤️ WOW!I cant say enough of the exceptional service while we ate and this final help was over the top.Definitely will be telling everyone this story and recommending Mike and his restaurant forever! Thank you yo you and your team.We can’t wait to come back!

Went here with a large group for lunch. Had reserved our table but showed up 20 minutes early- they had everything all set up and ready for us. The brisket, pizza, pot pie, fries, beans, corn bread and salads are all amazing. The service was quick and our server was very friendly.

We loved our meal here! The smokers are on site with a lovely outdoor space with a fire pit in the winter. We each got a Mac and cheese on the menu - bbq and brisket. They use their beer cheese sauce and it was amazing! We also ordered the Smoker pizza to go and we weren’t disappointed! Thin crust, cheesy and pulled pork and brisket. We will be back here the next time we’re in the area!
