Mary Brown's Chicken

Very disappointed at this location. First off, our family does not like white meat. When we asked for all dark meat they said its an additional $7. I know for a fact, white meat is more expensive then dark meat so why are these people charging more for cheaper meat. Second, we found a dark black hair in out thigh piece and after that, we didn't want to eat the remaining of the chicken. I do not recommend this location. See pic attached

I just got back from visiting St. John's and experienced the best Big Mary I had ever had in my life. So when I got back to Ontario, I decided I wanted another and went to Mary Browns in East Gwillimbury. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The chicken felt stale, there was barely any mayo on the sandwich at all (both of them, I got 2), and the person at the cash wasn't rude, but wasn't very friendly.

All in all, if what good looks like is in Newfoundland, they are missing the mark in Ontario.

Just picked up some dinner for family. Was greeted by Aman with a smile. The staff in back also smiled and said hello. Quick service and food was hot still when I got home. Thank you so much.

On Wednesday June 18th, 2025, I came in and asked how big the 9 chicken pieces were and the gentleman at the cash showed me and was very accurate! Very nice gentleman with great customer service!!! He was very patient with me as well while I made a decision of what to order. It’s been 8 years since I have had Mary Browns so it was a treat to have great customer service and to come into a clean establishment! The chef who is hidden in the back cooking, was also very friendly and was busy working!! Thank you guys!!!

Rishi does an amazing job managing this location! I’ve been coming here for the past three years, and the staff have always been wonderful. The restaurant is consistently clean, and the chicken is always fresh and delicious! I always recommend this location to my friends and family

Got to your store 9:40 to get 4 batters boxes the cashier took my order then the cook told her no it’s too late.. The cashier then tells me she cannot take my order because the chicken takes 15-18 mins to fry…… But the store closes at 10!!! Why couldn’t my order be proceeded… I’m not happy at all with this after I drove 20 mins just to get there so annoyed

Very disappointing.Paid extra for white meat on a 13 piece.Got 6 wings.Pure robbery.Been a regular customer and now they have lost a good family who go minimum 1 a week.

Ordered 13 piece chicken only.Shocked to find half were wings esp when you pay extra.Been a regular customer since we moved here.Well no more.What a scam.Robbers.Wings are classed as white.So i paid extra for 6 wings.Dont go to this location.EVER!!!!!

I ordered a Big Mary and it hardly had any chicken, it was mostly crunchy batter. Couldn’t even eat it.

The restaurant is okay, but I ended up throwing away my food because the staff weren’t wearing gloves while working. I didn’t feel comfortable returning or canceling the order.
