Went here for thanks giving dinner and they messed up my order. After confirming I was getting a half rack combo with chalet sauce and apple pie they have me ribs by themselves in a box with no sauce and a pumpkin pie. They also asked me if I needed utensils and I told them yes. Now, on thanks giving, I'm here eating ribs with the wrong pie and no sides with my hands.
I also noticed my family's thanks giving meals didnt even get given to us, they gave us the wrong meals as well...
I tried to call to get it fixed and I got no answer. Literally the worst possible customer service experience, your team messed up Every. Single. Item.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Swiss Chalet today. I called on September 28th to make a reservation for 17 people for October 12th and was told that they don’t take reservations, but to come early instead. My husband called again the day before, and we were told the same thing.

We arrived at 11:15 a.m., right when the restaurant opened, only to be told they couldn’t guarantee that our group could sit together. I pointed out a large table that would have worked perfectly, but was told it was reserved. When I explained that we had been told reservations weren’t accepted, the waitress mentioned that someone had made that reservation back in September.

It was frustrating and disappointing to receive conflicting information, especially after we tried to plan ahead. Clear and consistent communication would have made a big difference.

That said, Amy, our server, was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, patient, and did her best to accommodate our group despite the situation.

I’ve attached a photo showing that there were actually five reservations taken for October 12th, which confirms that reservations were being accepted despite what we were told.

The service was great! When it came to the food, it’s usually delicious. However, today I found a hair in my chicken, which I was informed it was probably from one of the front cooks. I advised I couldn’t wait for a meal replacement as I was heading back to work. I was brought the full bill, and had to advise I wasn’t satisfied as I couldn’t eat half the chicken after the encounter. The restaurant took $3 off my bill.

Update: Swiss chalet manager reached out to me. Offered me to come back and not only offered me a free meal, but also a free appetizer. As a regular customer, I really appreciate this acknowledgement and understanding towards your customers.

Moe (moving dolly) brought out meals to the table. While we love our Swiss Chalet. This one in Newmarket was the best for my husband's vegan burger. Cooked to perfection

I had lunch with 2 friends yesterday at east gwillimbury location.Our waitress was outstanding ! She admitted to enjoys her job and it was apparent with her service. She deserves a raise!! Her name is Illyaana, and the 3 of us were glad she served our table. Thank You Illyaana ,you made our day.

Went for my birthday. Arrived at 620pm ordered our food at 630pm. Waited 1hr without explanation then we git the waitress in passing she said oh ovens arent working can I get you something so I said more coffee please. Coffee never came nor I'd the food.

We decided to leave, we got our coats on at 735pm and started to go. Waitress comes out with food.we stayed but, we did gave tickets for the light show at Upper Canada for 745pm. Not impressed at all.

It was a great restaurant at one time had a great atmosphere now the atmosphere is terrible. Prison lights over the tables are horrible. Dinner at best was warm , used to get a steaming hot meal, not anymore.
