There has been talk of diminished level of quality in recent years, however, today i placed an order for pickup and the food was amazing. The chicken balls were consistent with what they were ten years ago and the service was excellent. People have a tendency to be very negative these days, most only leave reviews when they have a bad experience, myself included. So today i aimed to change that, and bring a bit more positivity into this world.

Placed an order waited over an hour ...called they couldn't even find my number I repeated the order then she remembered....they hadn't even started to make it said it would be another 39 min at least...very disappointed

i like to say good but there was no eat inside we had to take it to go the food was like rubbery like it had been rewarmed in a microwave a number of times for shrimp and chicken balls they were impossable to eat the rice was a bit rubbery and hard like it was way over done egg rolls were mushy in center and had a odd taste like the were i think freezer burnt while we were there waiting for our order no calls and no 1 came in to pick up food it was very dead inside with very low lighting inside looked like the 60's

Our first visit. We got the meal special for two people. The portions were excellent and freshly made. I overheard many phone orders and pickup orders because the restaurant was empty at 1600. This is a popular takeout restaurant.

The worst food I've ever had. Ordered dinner for 4, paid $85, not enough food for 3. Chicken half cooked, balls hard as rock, sauce like water. Do not order there ever, you will starve. We had to order a pizza to satisfy 4 people.

We spent $70 on a dinner and it really wasn't worth the money.Small container or rice, sweet and sour sauce was more sour than sweet. We weren't pleased with this place

Went in for the first time and ordered my favorite, Cantonese chow mein. What a disappointment, the BBQ pork was brown, the chicken bits were brown, the vegetables were brown except for the bottom of a green pepper. The noodles were brown and tasted under done, and it wasn't closing time. Recommend you avoid this if you have any standards at all.

I ordered once for the 2 of us and and we literally were sick . Cannot take a second chance unless they change owners.

We ordered a dinner for 4 we added wonton soup and delivered it was a bit pricyFood was bland wonton was without the dry noodles and chivesI was the only one to eat the wonton ended up in the hospital with gastroenteritis not goodI won’t be ordering from them again

The staff was friendly but the food was substandard, I guess for being the only Chinese restaurant in Elliot Lake they can get away with below average food quality with small portions. I love that the restaurant is of old Canadian Chinese style from the 1960's. My suggestion to the restaurant is to increase the freshness and lower the prices. My chopsuey was the worst I've ever had mind you the hot and sour soup was ok, my wife's chicken fried rice was dry and tasteless and my kids had chicken balls and they hardly liked them and it all came to 57 dollars for hardly any food. The prices are outrageous considering in Toronto or London you can get each menu item cheaper with way bigger portions! You think they would want reasonable prices in a small town, I would recommend this location when they make improvements!

I have been here many years and they have changed all the vegetables to a cheaper type with a lot of liquid inside a tray if you want to take out.I find the price outrageous now wish it was the same old Maple restaurant.
