Driving from Montreal to lake Simco and decided to split the 6h in 2 days.
We decided to stop in Cornwall but they didn’t have many options for food. Looked at Loose Caboose and the ey had decent reviews so we decided to stop there, I have to say, of course it won’t be luxury however personally I felt it was quite dirty and hard to communicate with the servers through the dirty glass separating us. 10ish minute waiting time which is decent, felt it might have been a bit expensive but reasonable, one poutine medium, 3 burgers +fries
For around $60.
I think the food was OK. The burgers were pretty alright not bad but not overly good. The fries were very bland and a bit burnt, definitely using old oil to fry them, not their best. The poutine was not meeting my expectations, not enough cheese curds, had fries in it but gross gravy, personally. So I would rate it a 3, it was OK. But the servers seemed to mean well. Also hard to determine whether open as different platforms said it was open and some not open.
P.S don’t rec the corner shop next to it, went in for drinks and the lady was quite rude.

Wow! What a little gem in Elmira.Stopped by here yesterday afternoon, on our way home.Small menu but that is a good thing. Easy to choose, and quick to order. The very friendly and helpful staff member helped me with my order, and she was punctual with her food dispatch. She handed me the food bags, at about the time she said she would. The fries and rings were both very good, but I have to give the upper hand to the rings ... crunchy and tasty, and when dipped in gravy, simply awesome. The burger was actually very good too, loved the peameal bacon and the grilled onions. ?I will definitely come back here next time I'm in Elmira, this place is totaly worth it. Give the "Loosa Caboose" a chance for yourself, you will nit be disappointed.

The food is what you would expect, really great fries. The ice cream selection is sometimes limited and usually inconsistent which isn't ideal with picky eating kids. I know it's a seasonal place and I don't want to take too much away, but it would be nice to have consistency considering it's a place the kids ask to go to.

We’re always on the lookout for a good Chip Truck and we asked for ours to be extra crispy and she delivered! The gravy could have been hotter - it was barely warm but otherwise the chips were really good!
Just had a great burger and fries here. Will be back for sure!
Nice cold treat of ice cream on a hot Saturday night!
