Such a cute spot with a nice atmosphere. Staff is friendly and food is great. I ordered the tuna bowl and can highly recommend, all the ingredients were so fresh and seasoned well.

Our first and certainly not last trip here was an amazing experience! I had the wings & ribs special with a rotational pint, highly recommend their brisket buffalo sauce. She had the apple grilled cheese paired with Pinot Grigio and she loved that. Very good food, top notch service and great music to create a nice ambience.

I took my partner out for her milestone birthday and we were very disappointed. We both ordered the pan seared salmon and hers was raw on the inside. Mine wasn't as bad but there were raw spots. We sent hers back and they cooked a new piece and went the other way with it and it was over cooked. They were also tiny pieces for the price of them.

It was only 6pm and the music was cranked and we had to yell at each other to have a conversation.

I don't write reviews even if the place is terrible but this was a very important birthday for her and we were both very disappointed. I won't be back and if you are planning an important event you should go somewhere else.

Max and Chef Sean—wonderful, wonderful service. We had a reservation for our big, loud, indecisive family. Just a fantastic experience! Thank you.

On a busy Saturday evening without reservations, the staff tried their best to accommodate us 4. It was really hectic but we were seated as soon as possible. Our server Josh was great, patient with our requests and recommendations. To my surprise, the steak frites was done to exactly how I ordered, medium-rare! Everyone enjoyed their meal, even my fussy boys, so this place has the winning combo - excellent service and food.

The Well-Wandered Traveller

The Handsome Devil is easily one of the top dining experiences in town if you’re looking for exceptional food paired with genuinely wonderful service. From the moment you sit down, you can tell this is a place that takes pride in both its menu and the people delivering it.

Our server, Abby, was phenomenal—something you’ll quickly notice echoed throughout many reviews. She was quick with our orders, incredibly attentive without being overbearing, and an absolute joy to chat with. Service like that elevates an already great meal into something memorable.

We started with the smoked sausage poutine, which honestly might be the only kind of poutine that should exist. Rich, flavourful, perfectly balanced, and deeply satisfying. For mains, the chicken sandwich was outstanding—juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, all held together by a soft brioche bun. It was packed with flavour, and getting it tossed in the house BBQ sauce is an absolute must. The brisket sandwich was equally delicious; tender meat paired beautifully with mustard and caramelized onions—true chef’s kiss. While a gravy option would have been amazing, the flavours as-is were still spot on.

If you believe that basic spices can make or break a dish, don’t skip the Caesar salad. It has a fresh, noticeable pepper kick that takes it well beyond your standard side salad and shows real attention to detail in the kitchen.

The restaurant also offers a generously sized patio, making it an excellent choice during the summer months. Parking is available on the street, with both paid and free options nearby, which makes stopping in easy and convenient.

Overall, this is a place that delivers on every level—food, service, atmosphere, and consistency. A must-visit when you’re in Elora, and absolutely worth returning to again and again.
