We had the halibut fish and chips. The fish was amazing. Perfect batter and crisp. Chips were nothing special. Glad we made the stop. Quick service and great variety of condiments.

Avoid the tourist trap restaurants and go straight to Somethin Fishee. It's just steps aways from the tourism board bldg but where the locals dine. Best fish tacos EVER! Amazing fish, chips and even the cole slaw was special. Super friendly staff and locals dining there.

Finally getting around to leaving a review as I stopped by earlier this year during the summertime with my son. Five stars just for the customer service alone as anyone with a toddler can attest that they can be difficult at times. I ordered a poutine to share with my son to eat on the patio when he started crying because there was gravy on his fries (obviously, it’s a poutine). Due to my son’s crying, the woman whom I’m assuming is the shop owner came outside to see if there was anything that she could do to make him feel better and offered him a sea animal eraser in which he gladly accepted. I told the woman thank you and that he was just being a typical toddler and crying because he didn’t want gravy on his fries and she offered to make him some without gravy - free of charge. Once the fries came out, they were quite hot since they were fresh and my son started crying again as he couldn’t eat them right away as to not burn himself. The woman offered to put the fries in the fridge to help cool them off faster for him and was just overall amazing towards my toddler terror. None of the things that this woman did for us was necessary or expected but it was greatly appreciated. I wish I could comment more on the quality of the food but it was just the poutine (which I enjoyed) that I had ordered as it was only supposed to be a quick stop. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll be sure to order more food and leave a nice tip as a thank you but hopefully for now a five-star review will do!

I'm from York Region, but these are the best fish and chips I've tasted so far from anywhere I have visited in Ontario. Batter was nice and crunchy and fish was delicious.Fries we're home cut and perfect. They provide you with actual homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce both were amazing with the coleslaw having a nice spicy edge to it. For $12.95, you are not going to get a better deal on haddock and chips anywhere. Randi works as chef and cash and has a great attitude towards her customers, she is a true professional. While the place is tiny, there is lots of outdoor seating to enjoy this top notch seafood. Elora is a beautiful town, and visiting Somethin Fishee was a great way to finish a nice trip.

I got fish and chips and it all tasted burnt!? It was very under flavored. The fish didn’t taste fresh and I didn’t eat the fries. I was expecting more because of the reviews :( my wife got their shrimp tacos, that were supposedly “spicy”? but it didn’t have much flavor either! It was like a normal tortilla with 4 shrimps on top and coleslaw with mayo and cheese. Wouldn’t go back :(
