Avoid the tourist trap restaurants and go straight to Somethin Fishee. It's just steps aways from the tourism board bldg but where the locals dine. Best fish tacos EVER! Amazing fish, chips and even the cole slaw was special. Super friendly staff and locals dining there.

Finally getting around to leaving a review as I stopped by earlier this year during the summertime with my son. Five stars just for the customer service alone as anyone with a toddler can attest that they can be difficult at times. I ordered a poutine to share with my son to eat on the patio when he started crying because there was gravy on his fries (obviously, it’s a poutine). I'm from York Region, but these are the best fish and chips I've tasted so far from anywhere I have visited in Ontario.
Batter was nice and crunchy and fish was delicious.Fries we're home cut and perfect. They provide you with actual homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce both were amazing with the coleslaw having a nice spicy edge to it.
For $12.95, you are not going to get a better deal on haddock and chips anywhere.
