Way way overpriced for the size of portion. It would probably be ok if portions were three times the size. $19 for French Onion Soup for example, which is in cup size of Espresso Shot.

We just had our wedding at The Evelyn June 14th and it was absolutely amazing . Maclean (the owner) I totally see why he was chosen citizen of the year in Elora , completely outstanding service. Our two servers were just amazing . We recommend anyone coming to Elora to have a meal here . Thank you to all of you for being nothing but amazing !!! We will certainly be coming back to see all of you

I recently came here to take my family out for my mother’s birthday dinner, and it was excellent, the service was fast, the hosts and servers were really welcoming and friendly. I had gotten the award winning burger and my mom had gotten a special that was on that day, and let me tell you, we are very picky eaters and we cleaned our plates! The fries were cooked to perfection and weren’t too salty or undercooked. Over all we were very impressed with everything and will recommend!

We came to Elora to celebrate our birthdays and through a search came across the restaurant Evelyn. My friend and I had the chicken special (delicious), the flat bread and the absolute best French onion soup. Our server was lovely and was attentive and knowledgeable (I only wish I had asked her name). The brownie and Americanos brought to our table were a lovely birthday surprise. All in all I would highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant.

We had a group dinner event there at the end of April. Staff were well prepared and all very accommodating. Despite the large number of orders, the food was brought out in a timely manner and was delicious!

We found it rather expensive for what they serve. The atmosphere was very loud as they had a group there that night and totally ruined our dining experience and the server was blind to the fact that it made for a lousy experience for the rest of the diners.

Evelyn in Elora is truly a gem! From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth and charm of the place. The food was exceptional – it reminded me of homemade meals filled with love, just like grandma used to make. Every bite was rich in flavor, comforting, and beautifully prepared. The service was outstanding; the staff made us feel so welcomed and cared for. This is the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out! Just a heads-up: it’s a very sought-after spot, so make sure to reserve ahead of time (and trust me, it’s worth it). We can’t wait to come back
We have frequented the Evelyn on numerous occasions in the past. Food is always great..service & staff as well. But I am very disappointed with service on Sat November 30th. I had booked on Friday for dinner for 730pm for 2. Spoke personally to a girl via telephone. We live 1.5 hrs away, but love coming to Elora. We had just arrived in Elora at approximately 5pm.. and received a call from the restaurant stating that there was a mix up in our reservation and they could not accommodate us..but we could sit at the bar with no guarantee that we could get a table. Sorry the girl said..we were speechless. I asked to speak to the Manager..but was told no management was in. As the Christmas Market was going on as well as Santa Claus parade..obviously very busy evening. This is very disheartening and very unprofessional to call us so late. Not a happy customer !! Girl who called was very indifferent as well!!

Had a great time here with the wife. Service was amazing, the atmosphere was just beautiful. The food was pretty darn good. Amd the soup of the day was by far the best yet. It's very pricy and not something I'd go every day, but once in a while is perfect!
