Had their chicken sandwich. The meat was cooked perfectly and had nice flavour, along with their toppings.

Delicious French onion soup!
The mushroom linguine also tasted really great but I think I would enjoy it much more if the linguine was cooked al dente and left in full strands (rather than broken into small pieces). Overall, the dish had a great rich flavour and is worth trying.

I had a very disappointing experience at The Evelyn in Elora. When we arrived, the place was almost empty, but the man who seemed to be in charge (he wasn’t dressed like a waiter) took us to the last table, right next to the area where servers constantly passed by carrying dishes, utensils, and even trash. It was uncomfortable and inconsiderate, especially since there were plenty of better tables available.

During our visit, the same man served our meals. He unnecessarily explained to me how I should eat mine, which felt rude and condescending. On top of that, the food was disappointing, my husband’s dish was extremely salty.

Finally, when he brought the bill, the same man literally tossed it onto our table.

Overall, I felt the treatment was disrespectful and discriminatory. I wouldn’t go back to this place or recommend it to anyone.

This is a very nice small family restaurant with great food, service and cosy atmosphere. We really enjoyed it.

Charming restaurant setting in a charming village. Service was sloppy and the waiting between appetizers and main, was long. The food was over cooked, overpriced and underwhelming ( a small piece of farmed trout excessively dry with some slivered almonds sprinkled on top as an after thought ). A coq au vin dish made with two chicken thighs that seemed to be deep fried, also overcooked. It is a far cry from French cuisine, perhaps “French inspired” at best.

Has gone downhill over the past year or two. Couldn't even toast the bread for an egg breakfast, amongst other poorly prepared breakfasts. Service very slow

The old man at the front was disgustingly rude to me with my child present. And not for the first time.

My wife and I went there a couple days ago for our anniversary, although a little pricey it was still an amazing place with a great staff and good food.

Service was very slow. The restaurant was busy so we understood but all servers would go up to people entering not even say hello they immediately said do you have a reservation if you said no you were told they did not have room for you until 4pm… while there were 3 empty tables inside the restaurant from 3pm-4pm. Very unorganized staff. We waited about 20 minutes for someone to even greet us after we sat down while we watched 2 staff members polishing silverware while we waited. Great food though. Probably won’t go back

I was deeply disappointed with this place. The main courses are priced between $30 and $40, but the food isn't worth it. I ordered a $40 chicken sandwich, but it was small and tasteless. I would have been better off eating at McDonald's. It was also uncomfortable eating inside, in a closed space with flies and bees all around. We told the waitress about this, but she said there was nothing she could do. This place was simply terrible; everything was very expensive, the food was terrible, and the flies made it worse. I don't recommend it. I would have liked to eat somewhere else.
