Always a great experience at the Friendly Society. The flavour combinations Chef Mark put out are wonderful.
So, a lovely place, great service. My husbands food had zero flavour, noodles with shrimp. Tiny shrimp and some noodles. . My fries with steak frite were good, the steak served rare which is good but each bite was gristle, and fat and hard to cut. The broccoli was hidden under the cream sauce, obviously frozen and limp. The sauce itself was ok. It was 46$. So we were very disappointed it was our anniversary. Sad
Great ambience, food and service was a excellent. Perfect little spot in the heart of Elora! And was one of few places open on a Tuesday night in Elora - keep up the great work!
Always fresh and vibrant . Licensed and local with a summer patio only . Staff are fabulous and delicious seasonal dishes featured daily 😊 recommend rsvp as not a big place .
Fantastic service. Great food. Beautiful quaint restaurant with tons of atmosphere. Highly recommend. Will return for sure. Loved the experience. Server was amazing.
Our server was awesome! The food was tasty, but the portions were a little small for the price. Drinks were great, but were slow coming to the table.
Service was very friendly and quick, food was hot and delicious, great selection of drinks, only critique is the tables are very small and close together, I couldn't help but bump mine and my neighbours when getting out from the bench side.
This was my family's first time eating at the Friendly Society. The menu offered something for everyone. The service was amazing! The three of us ordered three different dishes and each one was delicious. In particular, the fries were outrageously yummy! As an aside, there is a steep set of stairs to get down into the restaurant itself, so if you have mobility issues, it's something to keep in mind. However they do have a lovely patio so everyone can enjoy the wonderful service and yummy food!
We attended at The Friendly Society for lunch. We had requested a table with river view, if possible, on our Open Table reservation. The hostess greeted us, on arrival and took us to one of the two tables with a river view. The service was exceptional and the food was very good. The Charcuterie Platter is an excellent choice along with the Caesar Salad.
Everything was fantastic! Great food, great ambience, and excellent customer service. My husband had the Cobb salad. It was beautifully presented and very generous. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich on sourdough with french fries. I will definitely order that again. It was unique and delicious. The sandwich included chopped up dill pickle with the chicken, lettuce, and BBQ sauce. Very tasty.

Delicious food! Great atmosphere and really cute decor. We went as a party of 6 plus one baby and there was lots of room at our booth table. Everyone got a different meal and enjoyed it so much! The beyond burger, grilled chicken sandwich, steak wrap and watermelon salad were so tasty!
Very charming spot, good service and good variety on the menu. Fairly priced! I'd return for sure!
Food and service were excellent. A few people in our party had some dietary restrictions and they were amazing at accommodating them.
My fiance surprised me with a day trip to Elora for my birthday, and we went to The Friendly Society for a late lunch/early dinner. The weather was gorgeous so we sat outside. The wasps were buzzing around but they had little stations set up around the patio to entice the wasps away from the customers so it was fine. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Everything about our visit was perfect. It was a lovely way to spend my birthday on a beautiful, balmy day in September!! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Great service and cool place but the food was just okay. I had the roasted chicken breast which was $37 and it was just not that good. The others in my family had the tuna and the shrimp bowls and again said they were okay but drenched in sauce. Very nice waiter though!
