Service & ambience were wonderful. Food depending on what you ordered was very good to just average. Could be better for the price. We would not return. Suggest you give it a try though.

The Friendly Society is an amazing establishment with exceptional food and a warm and welcoming staff. The ambiance is probably the best in town and the local art provides a unique atmosphere. I would one hundred percent recommend this restaurant on every level!

We went for Sunday Brunch on the Easter weekend. The brunch menu is unique - some old faves and new items to try. Portions are small but perfect if you're trying something new, so be brave. Service was fast and friendly - food was hot and tasty. We will go back. Definite 10/10

I love everything about The friendly Society. A friend introduced me here a few years ago and it's my go to place in Elora. Never a disappointment. Go try it—you'll love it too!

Treated my mom to a Christmas Lunch at this family favorite restaurant. We have never had a bad meal here. Their Christmas decor is over the top!

Parking: You might have to walk, there's plenty of parking but you'll have to drive around a bit to find the spot during the holidays ~ it's worth it! Just give yourself lots of time and realize Elora is a pedestrian town. If you're early for your reservation ~ pop into one of the many quaint shops.

Terrible service and racist staff. My partner and I walked in and requested for a table for two. They immediately said they are full for the next several hours. I asked if they would take our phone number in case of a cancellation, and the woman stated they already have a long wait-list. We proceed up the stairs to leave, when a Caucasian couple walks through the doors. As I am zipping up my coat, I overhear the couple asking for a table for two and that they don't have a reservation. The same hostess then replies to wait a few minutes they will have a table ready soon. I was blown away, we were asking for a table less than one minute before..we had not even left the restaurant yet and were still inside. Absolutely appalling and this establishment is named "The Friendly Society"???? What a joke.

One of the coolest places I’ve eaten at! The atmosphere and interior are incredible and you can just stay there forever looking at all the little details and create unforgettable vibes. And the food - omg where do I begin! It’s so delicious and every time I’m dining there I’m impressed by the quality, flavour and presentation. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Sat down and asked to sit by the window. 2 empty tables but the waitress says no because they were reserved without checking with anyone. Tables were empty entire time we were there. They claim there is no discrimination, however there is quite a bit of reviews stating same. We were sat in the middle and there was a funky smell at the table. Hard to figure out where it came from. Had the waygu burger and butternut squash pasta. Burger was with salad and was really let down. The salad dressing was very acidic and the burger was not seasoned very well. The butternut squash pasta was good very saucy, at that price should be served with a piece of bread. Kinda expected more of a tourist trap and the food was exactly that. The service was present but very unenthusiastic. Was really hopeful as I enjoy visiting elora. Probably won't be back. Sorry folks.

My boyfriend and I visited without a reservation. We were very lucky to get a table, as the place was packed! Service was excellent. Friendly and prompt, but not rushed. Both of us loved our meals. I had the Cobb salad, and he had the fried chicken sandwich. We tried a couple holiday cocktails and both were fantastic!
What made it a truly spectacular meal was the ambiance! The setting felt rustic yet tasteful, and the building is uniquely cozy. The Friendly Society was decked out for the holidays!! I want to go again before Christmas, that’s how cute it was.
