Great food and staff We have been trying a different food item off the menu every time and are never disappointed Looking forward to this weekend when we go to try a few items on their summer menu with friends
Used their party room for a birthday and they were very attentive and everyone enjoyed themselves! Thank you!
The food was good/ music was awesome/ Jeff was an amazing bartender with personality/ welcoming … however the other bartender was not friendly at all …. You strike a conversation with her and all you get is snarky one word answers …. Maybe the service industry isn’t for you ….

I was disappointed with my hole experience. The fish and chips were subpar. The fish was soggy. Tast like it came from frozen pucks.
Nice place. Service was very good. Great food and beer.

Nothing is more maddening than trekking to a business only to have it close early. Especially a bar, because you often need alternate transportation if you intend to drink.
We looked for a pub on Google to go have a couple drinks after the Metcalf fair. The Homestead Pub was one of a few options in a 30 or so km distance that was open late enough to make the trip worthwhile.
Google said 1AM and there was another place that we considered that was until 2AM in another direction. The Homestead being more in line for where we wanted to be and so the hour difference shouldn't have been a big deal. Oh but it was.
I arrived, got myself a beer and began to enjoy the spot. There were 8 or so others at the bar and a party of 10 or so in the back room.
It became clear not long after starting my beer that it had been made known that the bar would be closing early. As the people at the bar began closing off their tabs and left.
I inquired when there were just 2 of us left if they were closing and she said "yes at midnight (10 mins from now) as we close early when it's not busy".
Now forgive me, but if you are so amazing of an establishment to consider 18, 8 or even 2 people who are in the establishment to not be a worthwhile cause to stay open for your advertised business hours, then why open at all?
Who knows how many others would have wound up there? If closing early and not having consistent hours is a regular thing, then you're more than likely shooting yourselves in the foot for a slew of potential business just for being unreliable.
For example a bunch of us finish curling and decide to go for drinks, some names of places are thrown out there including the Homestead Pub. I say no, not there, I went last week and they are hit or miss on their hours. We all more than likely have other friends that will want to join us and can't have people meeting us from various places only to start arriving there to a closed sign, even though their hours are supposed to be open still.
I was pissed that I drove to this bar, only to be served one drink and be kicked to the curb. I would have chosen differently had I known, and won't be making that mistake at this place again. Which is too bad because it was a damn good cold beer, the menu looked tempting and the atmosphere intriguing.
Parking: The parking lot is behind the business. Not beside, as that is for residents next door.

First our food was ice cold, then there was a hair. No offer of a discount or anything to make up for it. And charged $1.50 for salad dressing. Pretty disappointed. Sent an email over a week ago. Will update if I ever hear back.

Love Homestead. Terrific food. Boomer's the best server on the planet...it's just a bit loud, but we still go and I'd definitely recommend.

Awesome food, super friendly service and a great beer selection.
I'd highly recommend you try it if you haven't yet. Very tasty burgers and their house lager is fantastic!

Excellent! We were on a short visit to Embrun and by chance saw the pub for lunch. The food was quite good, reasonably priced and the service was excellent! I highly recommend.

Very friendly pub! Appetizers and dishes are much bigger than I expected. The smocked meat poutine is excellent. Service is quick and guys working there are great. If one day, I come again to Embrun, I will go back there for sure, especially if a band is playing this evening in the pub.
