Decided to try this little gem. Unfortunately, they do not have gluten free gravy for poutines nor are there gluten free fryers (reason for 4 star). For this reason, it is not a place our family can go but it is a place I can take my daughter too. She loved it and I will definitely take her back.Dietary restrictions: No gluten free options available

i can only comment on their poutine since that’s all i ever get: it’s excellent! one of the best i’ve had and it has great reheat-ability. most poutine turns into this congealed, gelatinous and weirdly dry abomination when there are leftovers and no matter what you do there just ain’t no resurrecting it to its former glory. but not the hot potato! their poutine tastes just as delicious when reheated, so it’s always worth getting a larger size and enjoying the rest later.and their prices are excellent!

French fries dark brown and soggy. Hot dog bun not toasted and all condiments were inside and outside bun. Couldn’t get club sandwich they didn’t have all items to do it.

Used to be so much better but now the burgers are made cheap. Poutine is a poutine hard to mess up fries cheese and gravy but honestly this is not my go to anymore and they don’t carry diet soda?.

The employees were so helpful and kind even though they were so busy. They always do their best to get the order out in a timely manner, and the food is so good. The Hot Potato is the best!

Second time ordering from the hot potato. Last year (summer 2022) my wife and I were pretty happy overall with the food in general. Tonight (May 9,2023) we ordered 2 chicken burgers, a small poutine, and small fries. We live 4 minutes away so we took away for convenience. Honestly very disappointed. The fries were basically mashed potato consistency and cold/soggy with little to no flavour. The chicken burger patties were fried to a dry rock- hard crisp, and were hard to bite into. The toppings were basically non existent, and the bun was far larger than the patty itself and the limited toppings were kept well within the border of the patties. The poutine (according to my wife as I don't like poutine) was cold, bland gravy, fries were "a pile of cold mush". Overall very disappointed and frankly we fail to see how this is such a popular and busy spot given the quality of the food. I understand this may not be a common opinion but we should have just gotten A&W…..

I went there Friday 28th Apr. I arrive at 18h05 and it takes 15 minutes to pass the order. Then we wait, and wait, and wait. We get our order 40 minutes later. Forty minutes for a hamburger ?, 1 hot dog ?and a small poutine.? Really. And after us, the girl behind the counter told the customers there is only Fries no more burgers or dogs. If there is no more burgers, take a walk to the Giant Tiger. They are on sale.Trailer should close at 20h00 and no more food at 18h30 ??When we received our food. The poutine was cold the gravy was like jelly burger not much warmer and the dog well see the pic.We had a great supper... At McDonalds ??.

Went last night. Waited 45 minutes to get my food. Over 10 people ordered after me and got their food first. I asked multiple times why my order wasn’t ready and I just kept being told soon. I had a small order so no clue why. Got home and my poutine was litterally half of the size it was supposed to be. Half the top was missing. Beyond frustrated. Will not be going back.
