Don't expect a fancy decor or a menu with fancy yuppie names for the food choices. What you get is authentic fish and chips with a tasty crisp batter. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was superb. What more could you ask for

We were passing through Erin and needed a place to eat. We stopped at Uncle Harry's Fish and Chips. We had 3 lunch specials and two chicken burgers. It was absolutely delicious!! On top of the food, Brian was very friendly and made for a great time while at Harry's.

The owner Brian, is very friendly and I'd say the haddock and chips is the best I've had in years. Good sized portions. Probably better to take out for most. Not a five star looking chippy, but the food is definitely 6 out of five!

As usual the fish we received was lovely however the Fries are consistently frizzled, dark and over-cooked. Brian! Stop double dipping the Fries! (assuming that's what you're doing) When we get real lucky your Fries are golden delicious. We have reduced our visits because of this trend and I don't know how to remedy our angst? Do we have to specifically request "fresh" Fries...No Re-Fried !...We should not have to. Be consistent because eating out is an expensive luxury and it has to be good. We also really miss your homemade tatar sauce :(
Uncle Harry's is a welcoming spot to satisfy your appetite for a top-notch order of fish and chips.The Owner, Brian, doesn't mind if you call him Harry, will make you feel at home in the small restaurant in scenic Erin, Ontario.While the establishment's decor is very plain, the flaky Halibut portion, covered in just the right amount of golden batter, the delicious chips, and the creamy coleslaw are really the focus of Uncle Harry's.

What a delightful little place. The owner is really awesome (warm, friendly, welcoming) and it’s definitely the best battered fish we’ve had in Ontario. Not overly heavy on the batter so you can taste the fish. I’d also like to add that the oil was not off/rancid. The accompanying chips and coleslaw were good too. Good portions. Worth the stop and we look forward to going back there.

Those little hole-in-the-wall easily overlooked places always have the best food - and Uncle Harry's is no exception! There's a couple stools along a counter by the window, but really take out seems to be most of their business. The atmosphere may be very plain, but when you serve up amazing food like they do who cares about the decor?
The staff are super friendly, food is served up hot, fresh, and quick, plenty of parking in the plaza so you can duck in to grab and go. Don't overlook this hidden gem, you're missing out if you do!
