I've been to A1 Chinese many times over many years. They have very delicious, fresh Chinese food. The service isn't super friendly, but it's fine, you'll always get what you need. The atmosphere is nice, it's comfortable and bright. You'll always find a good lunch deal and the dinner buffet has a nice variety of dishes, plus desserts. This is a great restaurant to go to for a quick meal or a leisurely, laid back dinner with satisfying Chinese food.

I've been all over ontario, atlantic canada, and tge eastern coast of united states. This is my favorite place for Chinese food. Staff and owners always friendly and helpful. Food always hot and tasty. If you go through essex and like Chinese food, don't forget to stop in.

VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WON'T ORDER AGAIN! Ordered the dinner for four which was supposed to have chicken chow mein but it was just chicken with bean sprouts and a watery sauce. The Chicken sooguy wasn't cut in strips as it was supposed to be for 4 people it came in 2 big hunks. It was all tasteless and I'm very surprised this place stays in business! Windsor has the best chinese food places by far!

Food was gross ,rice was overcooked badly ,order the spare ribs I got these deep fried little bread balls with not a peice of meet on any of them at all. I know sometimes ordering something like that you will get a bad peice or 2 but the whole thing? .I never really complain I just eat what's in from of me for the most part but I wouldn't feed it to the raccoons will never be back .

Can’t remember the last time I ate at a buffet! We called to make sure the buffet was on this night. Food was constantly coming out when the dishes looked half empty, food was always hot and tasted great! Service was excellent and super friendly. We will definitely return for buffet!
This place is a cute little chinese buffet tucked away in a quaint little town in South western Ontario.This is not your giant full service chinese buffet with sushi bar and carving station but the food is fresh, well prepared and absolutely delicious. Yes you are going to be getting the standard chinese food menu that you would see at most of the take out places but in an all you can eat format.The price is great, the service is great and the food is delicious I don't think you can go wrong stopping in here.

BBQ pork fried rice - very little meat, pork was very dry, rice tasted burned and salty.Moo goo gai pan - chicken was dry, quite a few gristle pieces but veggies were good.Beef and vegetables - not enough beef, veggies good but again too much fat/gristle.Loved the egg rolls...but kind of weak on filling.Not horrible, but worth the money as we each had a plate and threw out leftovers (usually my husband eats the leftovers with gusto).

We were clients for a long time but one day everything turns sour. We were sit at the table near a thief (without knowing it at the time). When he left with some food, the owner and the waitresses thought we were with him. Since that day they treat us like a bunch of thieves. We did nothing wrong. We are in our 40s, we never stole something in our live.

Was on hold for 16 minutes, then I hung up. I understand that Friday's/Saturday's are very busy for restaurants. But, 16 minutes to wait to order food? I think that is a bit too long for a customer to wait. Ended up hanging up since phone customers are obviously not a priority here.
