My husband and I came for breakfast at this quaint restaurant in Essex this morning. It was our first time here. The waitress was attentive, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable.
One of their regular customers Stacie sat behind us in the booth and I just wanted to share a deep appreciation for her generosity this morning when the waitress notified us that she had purchased our meals.
We will definitely pay it forward on an upcoming occasion. I love the small town feeling in Essex where everyone is so kind and generous.

If you're ever in the area, you absolutely cannot miss this gem of a restaurant. I am a frequent visitor, and I always go for the breakfast special or one of their incredible omelettes.
The service is equally exceptional. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. And the owner? She’s a true delight! Always ready with a warm smile and a kind word, she goes out of her way to make every guest feel like family.

This is SO GOOD!!! The service is great, amazing small town feel. I got the Greek skillet my son got the Bennie skillet, definitely coming back. good price for good food. I’ll stop writing now because if I kept going I would end up writing a book. Son says he found his new breakfast place.

HIGHLY recommend My husband & I took a trip to Essex from 5 hours away & we stopped in to get lunch, we couldn't have been happier with Honetown Cookhouse. Amazing food such a friendly & nice waitress. Abby was so wonderful!!

Dropped in for breakfast. Firstly the menu is approx 3-4 dollars over other local eateries for 2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast and 1 meat. Everything had an upcharge, we were asked if we wanted onions with our hashbrowns, and to our surprise that's an upcharge. They were very bland. Eggs had no taste and not farm fresh. Sausage, toast both low quality. Honey packet was "honey flavour". There was no decore, service was avg to below avg. Overall, disappointed and won't return. Wish it was hidden gem, bit sadly have to say go anywhere else ?
