We regret that we will no longer be returning as regulars due to what appears to be a new policy...We have enjoyed MainStreet for 2yrs since moving to essex as both service and food are consistent however on our last visit we were advised that we were no longer allowed to share our large breakfast and would be required to make an additional purchase for service...i am diabetic, getting older and can no longer stomach a full breakfast and really don't want to be told I have...
Waited over an hour for breakfast. People who came in after us had their breakfast served before us. My husband's eggs were supposed to be over easy and the whites were runny. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because they took it off the bill.
Amazing little spot for a quick lunch or breakfast, everyone treats you like family. It was my first time going with my mother and everyone was so kind from the customers to the employees.I had chicken fingers fries and gravy, they got the good chicken strips with that AMAZING crunch, their fries and also very good pared with their gravy.My mother had their chili and CLEANED her plate, great portions, its got a slight kick but it isnt overwhelming.
