I was refused my request to substitute the bacon with an extra egg. Plus there's a weird sign at the front stating no hoodies allowed. This place is a relic of the past, and not in a good way. Find somewhere else to eat breakfast.

This place is ridiculous! I came for breakfast with my family of 5 on a chilly, rainy camping morning. The lady refused to serve us because my 4 year old son had a hoodie on. Didn't matter that numerous people on the restaurant had hats on.

Typical family diner but the breakfast was really enjoyable. Good service. Early morning opening at 7:00. Worked out perfectly after dropping my wife off at the local hospital.

Restaurantji Recommends
I went to Horizon Restaurant with my 5-month pregnant wife. My wife & I ordered the chicken souvlaki, the chicken tasted good, but the Tzatziki was a little off. I had asked the waitress if it always had a bad smell, and she took it back to the cook/owner I'm guessing, and he came out and told me that if I wanted better Tzatziki that I should go and make it myself. I was flabbergasted by how I was treated by the owner/cook. I don't recommend this place for breakfast & lunch. If you want better Chicken Souvlaki, I highly recommend taking yourself to Conestoga mall and getting Jimmy the Greek. Also, when I asked for a takeaway box the owner said they don't do takeaway, so I left my unfinished food on me plate.

A frequent visitor with friends and family since moving to the area.
Good was always okay.
Went for a birthday lunch in January. Ordered the chicken souvlaki. The ingredients were fresh except for rhe taziki...my friend and I both felt it tasted off...we tried it 3 times and felt one ingredient must have gone off....sent it back only to recieve multiple returns from wait staff telling me the cook said I am wrong....
Went a month later for breakfast with a friend and was served and food okay.
Went the next day. Same waitstaff, for lunch with same friend from birthday...I decided to give another chance on lunch and ordered the chicken souvlaki again this time with the taziki on the side. Cook/owner refused to serve me...
We left. Now seeing the other reviews I'm not surprised by this ridiculous behavior.

We go here every Saturday for breakfast. It has an old fashioned feel which we love, the service is excellent and fast and the food is delicious. The prices are very reasonable. Try the eggs Benedict!

Ordered eggs Benedict for me and two kids breakfasts. My eggs Benedict came with HARD eggs and I just asked if they could make me a new egg with runny yolk. They refused and told me my eggs were fine (so basically called me a liar) and they would take the food and throw it out INSTEAD of just making a new egg. Crazy. Pancakes were thin and burned. My son’s over easy egg was also hard and not runny at all. The server was LOVELY and I feel bad that she has to work for someone like that.
