The tarts were OK. Even though I asked for the Portugese Tarts and ended up with Pecan ones. I get the small town small mind mentality. I don't give a shit about it. I'm used to it, especially the dumb "I live in a bubble look". What I don't understand is why a customer has to be prompted for a tip just because some tart pressed a button on a 12 something thousand dollar machine to drip barely passable $3.50 coffee. They also have a bucket for cash tips just in case ;). At some point, you have to ask, "Are the staff getting paid enough or are they just pan handling?". I'll tip when service is great. Hell, I'll take a good service. 6 Pastries and 1 Coffee ran to $27.52. I think I'd rather get it from The Frying Pan Diner next time. Also, just because your staff have partners from different ethnicity or background doesn't make them any less racist. That's not how that works.

Sweets, Java or Lunch this one is worth stoping and any detour for the experience!
Only in the small town with baristas who care, can you ask for something not on the menu and they try:) this Sunday hard working student made a Cortado and made it 👍🏼👌🏼
And yes the date squares are just like mom used to make😋😋😋

I found this lil gem while waiting on a charter. The atmosphere was warm and inviting.
I ordered a cinnamon bun. I requested if I could have extra icing 😃 and the server happily obliged, and packed it up for me.
What a delicious cinnamon bun!
I'll have to make it back for more delicious treats, they all looked so good. They also had gluten free sweets!
Ps. The bun was huge, I ate a good portion of this before I snapped a photo.

Unfortunately the bakery floor is unclean, lots of crumbs even in the morning and that's not something I like to see at a bakery esp at the premium price charged.
Well, the sore dough bread must be the best around! Also, butter tarts, pies, yes pies! Macaroons lemon squares, sausage rolls. I must add the COFFEE Hands down is the best in town. The staff are sweet as the treats there. It is worth the drive to The Bakery of Flesherto!

These guys used to be great but have really gone down hill. (This used to be a 5 star review)
Very inconsistent hours and can't be bothered to update their Google hours or to put a sign in the window.
I won't waste my time going back
Update,
This was a 5 star review as I stated.
Yes, it was on Thanksgiving.
If you put half the effort you put into responding to reviews to actually updating your hours on Google you would find much more success, just a thought.
Literally checked the hours before driving all the way here and it said they're open until 3pm. They were not open. I want to support small businesses like this but i guess I'll be driving to the Tim's in the next town over from now on as they actually update their hours on Google. Very disappointing.

My wife and I were in town for a couple days and wanted lattes. The service was super friendly and outdone by the delicious baking. ?

Cute cafe, but I have had quite a few bad experiences here now. Every time I am there I have been treated poorly, dismissed while giving my order, and made to feel uncomfortable or out of place at this cafe… You can feel the obvious discomfort and racism from the staff when dealing with people of colour vs. not. Today I went back to give another chance and wasn’t spoken to respectfully or addressed with as much comfort as I frequently see the rest of the Caucasian customers be addressed with.
All in all, this is a cute cafe, mediocre pastry’s and drinks — not bad but not phenomenal, decent seating atmosphere; however, in order to truly feel welcome here and be treated like a part of the community it seems you must be Caucasian for acceptance at The Bakery of Flesherton Inc.
I give it 1 star, apart from the bad drinks and sub-par pastry’s, I believe cafes and local businesses should bring communities together, not sift out the different few and create backwards standards and division in our community for generations to come.

My daughter surprised me with a beautiful lemon meringue tart from The Bakery in Flesherton. Lemon meringue is one of my favourite pies to make. The tart was delicious with the perfect balance of tart and sweetness. My daughter had the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake, which she said was very good.
Update: I returned to the bakery a few weeks later and purchased a jelly doughnut. It was a large donut with a generous amount of filling. It was as delicious as you may imagine when you see the attached photos ?
