The cook seems little arrogant. Overall the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. There is a pool table inside the restaurant to play while eating. Food was good not great. Ordered fries and cheese nachos. Both are decent in taste. Lots of pictures hanging on the walls look decorative.

Had breakfast, with family, eggs Benedict, French toast and traditional eggs and bacon. Good portions and great fresh tasting food. Service was slow and restaurant was busy. However, new owners and obviously getting ramped up for summer and waiting for staff. Had a chat with the owner and she obviously has challenges in getting staff in Foleyet, but seems to have a plan. It’s good to see a small family run business in a small town with good old fashioned service. It’s great for campers and cottages. Be patient and support this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic small town diner. New ownership took over summer of '23, and they are doing a great job. Menu items expanding with many delicious new options. My favourites include the wings (they have both breaded and naked), and the club house sandwich is top notch, but honestly, Quebec Poutine is a standout here! They use real cheese curds, on top of perfect crispy fries and smothered in a mouth-watering gravy. Two thumbs up!

On our way to Wawa we were looking for a place to stop to make a video call in the evening. As villages are very far apart, it was hard to find wifi or even good signal. We called the Northern Lights restaurant and the server was so nice, she said she might close by the time we got there yet said we could use the wifi from the parking lot!We got there earlier than we expected just before they closed and she warmed us a nice bowl of chili that my wife was craving earlier in the day.We stopped again for coffee on our way back 2 days later and met the new owners, they were so nice!If you're hungry and need wifi while traveling through the north, that's the place to stop, because the people were so nice!P.s. Ask them about the story of the white moose!

Been going to this place three years in a row as it is the only place to eat there when you are visiting the area. The food most is ok, don't dare ask for any substitutions you will be told things like we are not McDonald’s. Same person each year has helped us and is rude as can be seems to not even want your business. If you are not a local stay away they don't care to see you. Not one smile or even a full sentence out of their mouth, just awful. No customer service skills at all.
