Two days and two wildly different experiences. Was in the area for a hockey tournament and found this place to grab breakfast in between games. On Saturday we arrived around 10:30 am with a group of about 15. The server let us know she was alone and there was only one cook and it would take a while to get our food. We let he know we were not in a rush and she did an amazing job. Within an hour we all got our food and everyone was happy. We liked the service so much we asked if they would be able to hand a larger group on Sunday. The server had us make a reservation so they could be prepared and said it would be ok. Sunday was different. Different server and a manager were present. The manager was angry from the get go. Made us feel unwelcome to the point that half the group left. In the end the adults didn't eat and only the kids got food. As we were leaving the manager let us know he had fired the other server for taking our reservation. It was clear he was the problem and brought down the mood in the whole place. What kind of person would let returning customers know they had fired someone for taking a reservation? Servers and cooks were great, but the older guy with a beard doesn't deserve anyone's business.

We were in Port Colborne for a hockey tournament this past weekend. 7 of our girls and their parents went here on Saturday in between games at 10:30am. It took an hour for all of us to get food because they only had one waitress and one cook but they were so amazing and so organized, we didn’t mind waiting and we were very grateful for them making it work! Food was so good and the waitress was so organized and kind that we wanted to come back the next day as well so we asked if they could accommodate our whole hockey team (roughly 25 people) for the next day same time and she said no problem!
On Sunday we arrived again for 10:30am but unfortunately we were not welcomed with the same kindness. The manager was there and he was so horrible!! He told us it was going to be an hour and 45min. wait to get our food because they had 4 other tables to serve. He was visibly pissed off that we were there so some of our parents and girls left to take some pressure off but his negative attitude never changed. The parents that stayed were so put off by him that they opted out of getting food so they only served the 13 girls.
At the end of their meal, the manager went out of his way to tell us that the waitress from the day before is being fired for taking our reservation. Typically wouldn’t say anything but I feel sick to my stomach knowing that a young girl is being punished for bringing in business to this small town restaurant.
This manager needs to be the one who is fired. He was rude and dismissive and caused more of an issue than needed to be. Get rid of him and we will gladly change our review!
Shout out to the cook with the awesome pink hair and the waitresses for being so kind even though your boss is not.

I have stopped several times for breakfast. Fast friendly service and a generous portion. Tried the souvlaki last night and the flavour was amazing. That'll be my go to for dinner from now on. Wife gets the turkey club and it's always huge and tasty. Don't forget the large portion of home cut fries and delicious gravy.

We stopped in at Crystal Beach Gateway today for our Anniversary dinner. We had the honour of meeting Cindy who served us our amazing dinner. The food is all homemade and delicious. Portions are huge, prices are very reasonable. We definitely have found a local favorite that we will be visiting regularly.
If you want somewhere to go for a good home-cooked meal we would truly recommend Crystal Beach Gateway.

Ordered last night through Uber, food came very cold and the fries were so old and dryer out I couldn’t even eat them, the milkshake was ok, but really small for 7$. Won’t order from here again. Would have added the pic of fries, but they are in my organic bin now.

Fish and chips where good and frys are homemade. Poutine was made with actual cheese curd. Overall, fantastic, we will be back.

We were on a trip across Canada and the US, and we liked stopping at smaller mom-and-pop restaurants. We came across this gem and were not disappointed at all. I had the double burger and my wife had the single. The fries were fantastic, that's the only way to have them. The service was great, as was the food. Thanks, folks; we'll be back!

Lots of flies.. ( late October) kitchen staff wearing pyjama pants & slippers, no aprons or white shirts..facial hair.. no hair net! Food was meh … definitely overpriced.. garnish the plates for presentation and add a side, even if it’s small… we will give it be more try!
