Delicious food. We got the halibut and chips for dinner tonight. All of the food was fresh and tasted great. Love the onion ring add on top if the fish. Owner is very sweet as well! We want to go back for the breakfast buffet on the weekend.

The food here has always been good with lots of options. My favourite is the halibut and Greek salad. If you eat in you get fresh pita bread to your table and a huge bottle of house made Tatar sauce. Clean and nice atmosphere.

Super greasy fish n chips. Way too expensive for what you get.

We really had our hopes up. The halibut fish was the only thing cooked properly. Unfortunately mine was bad because I had food poisoning symptoms for 2 days.
The fries were the most disappointing. I'm a French girl. The fries were not blanched, not crispy and they tasted heavily like stale oil.
We won't be returning.

Bad & Bad We ordered two Haddock & Chips, Chip instead onion ring and Garden salad. Charged me $2 each extra (didn't even get chips) Food are very very oily and taste less! (Haddock: very very oily, Onion ring: didn't taste onion didn't see onion taste just batter, Garden salad: very very dry) We gave three strike!!!

This was my first time today trying this restaurant. I was craving fish and chips and they nailed it. The fish and chips was absolutely amazing. They gave me lots of tartar sauce and malt vinegar which a lot of restaurants don’t do so thank you for the awesome fresh halibut. I will definitely be back.

When you have a craving for fish and chips, this shop did not disappoint. After a swim in Lake Simcoe, this was the perfect stop for me, a a small family run restaurant. The menu had a variety of options. The presentation impressive, halibut was done perfectly, and it came with chips, and was topped with 2 large onion rings. Also for those who love tradition the cold slaw was excellent, dressed with oil and vinegar very refreshing. all for $16.99. The atmosphere very (cool AC)cozy, comfortable and clean, bathrooms 5 stars. 04/08/24

cute family owned and operated restaurant with quick and friendly service. got the daily special #3 for around $15, comes with half haddock, chips, salad, soup, and fruit. (insane bang for your buck) they forgot my fruit but i didn’t ask for it because the portion was already so generous and filling. fish was good quality and perfectly cooked, with light and crispy batter. garden salad was genuinely one of the freshest salads i’ve ever had in a restaurant. overall very basic stuff, executed extremely well. would highly recommend and would definitely come back.

This place just completely ruined its reputation in my eyes...My family has ordered fish n chips from here for YEARS.. But we stopped ordering from here since last year due to them recieving a public health violation for not properly storing food at a SAFE temperature...Yesterday, We were just passing by and thought "Well they have been open for awhile now, which means they must have corrected their errors and maybe it's worth a try!"My God, We're we wrong..This was absolutely disgusting.. The fish was EXTREMELY soaked in grease, not flakey once-o- ever.. The portions were a joke.. I mean, the piece of fish was smaller then my wife's palm..(she's got real small palms)The fish literally tasted "tough".. Which was weird because we wanted haddock and ended up recieving halibut.. Which infact should have been even lighter and flakier then haddock... It wasn't..The onion rings, Weren't even rings.. more like broken wet batter pieces.. if that makes sense..The fries tasted like they were made last week..My mother in- law called in nicely asking for a refund and was denied a refund and told she could have a $20 credit.... She then told the lady "You can keep your $20 credit because I will not be returning.. Ever.. "Oh, Yeah and if the store owner reads this, Here's the review that she had told you, You'd recieve..I couldn't even feed the fish to my CAT... Yes you heard me, Even our cat thought it tasted like crap.. and she usually will eat ANYING on this planet that contains fish.. not this..Captain highliner you have my vote from now on! ??????
