This place is a hidden gem, I was selfishly hesitant to post a great review because I want it to stay quaint and magnificent like it is, but I would be remiss not to give credit where it’s due. You know when you go to a good friends house? They are that friend, the one who always feeds you the best food from the heart? Keeps your drink full? You feel comfy and loved and totally relaxed at their home? Well that is what it’s like going to eat here. You can feel the love, care and heart and soul that goes into this food and everything about the place. The scallops were to die for, perfectly seared and seasoned, the sliders were flavourful and the m word that everyone hates. The ambience is top notch, I was concerned about being outside/inside a covered patio, I’m always cold, but I took my jacket off because I was nice and toasty. In a world full of crappy chain places and disappointing overpriced crap, be a Gilford Local Eatery.

We visited for the first time last Sunday after boating on Cooks Bay. Lovely scenery. There are picnic benches with umbrellas under a pretty canopy of trees.
Customer service was excellent and the food was YUMMY at fair prices. My husband had the bacon blue cheese burger and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the chicken tenders and you could tell they were hand breaded and perfectly cooked. Shortly after we sat down to eat, the person who took our order came and gave me another chicken tender bc he noticed that one of them was in the puny side. Nice touch:)
There was no live music at that time which I was happy about bc it was peaceful. They did have a speaker set up and playing music at a reasonable decibel. You could have a conversation!
There was a corn hole game set up too! We didn't play. Maybe next time.
Parking with a boat could've been a challenge but we got lucky. We parked on the grass on the North side of Shore Acres Dr, East of the Eatery. Someone was just pulling away as we arrived.
Also, tasty tasty French fries lightly salted!
P.s. We would like to try the grilled cheese on sourdough bc we saw it being served to the next table and it looked delish

We happened to find this place on our drive back to Toronto. Overall, good value for money. We ordered the turkey burger, corn on the cob, pulled pork poutine, and chicken fingers for my toddler. Would definitely return when we go up north again.
Nice ambiance and tasty food! The eatery has a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal. However, be prepared for crowds and limited parking nearby. For us, another great encounter by accident. We were very surprised to discover this place with an excellent atmosphere, especially for this summer. We enjoyed its patio with very good live music and excellent craft beers. This place is highly recommended.
