This little gem of a restaurant was amazing. The food was delicious home cooked meal and the desserts and home baked treats were out of this world! The waitress and the owner were so personal and friendly. My 6 year old granddaughter said that it was the best place ever!!!!!!

This is one of the very best home-cooking restaurants I have ever eaten in! The food was pretty perfect if you love home cooking and I’m not a desert kinda person, but the deserts there? Man….if you are going anywhere near Rustic Roadside (21162 Hwy 62, Gilmour, ON) do yourselves a favour and stop in!

Now that this restaurant is up and running, it is providing excellent and reasonably priced food, being served by pleasant and obliging staff, in a clean country atmosphere. We met with the owners who were friendly and chatty, even though there were plenty of patrons on board for breakfast. We will certainly return over our week in the area. Highly recommend this place to anyone desiring good food in a timely manner.

Stopped in on our fall trip to Bracebridge! Excellent small town diner. Friendly, clean atmosphere. Food was delicious and baked goods look all homemade and fresh! Will definitely be back again! We had cheeseburger fries and my daughter had a grill cheese. Excellent all around!

Enjoyed delicious meals of liver and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy, and a real turkey dinner with similar sides. For dessert, two cream pastries and a shared peanut butter ball all made in house.

Great food and service also great surprise from a wonderful couple who had paid our bill along with their own. They had overheard my son and I talking sbout it being his Birthday. Kudos to the staff who brought his raisin pie with a candle in it and had everyone sing Happy Birthday. Never happened to us before. To them a big Thank You for making the day so special

What a great spot! We landed in this morning with 4 adults and 5 kids ages 20 months to 6 years and the service and food was fantastic. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make the meal easier to manage. I definitely recommend this spot for families :)
