This is one of the very best home-cooking restaurants I have ever eaten in! The food was pretty perfect if you love home cooking and I’m not a desert kinda person, but the deserts there? Man….if you are going anywhere near Rustic Roadside (21162 Hwy 62, Gilmour, ON) do yourselves a favour and stop in!

Such a quaint cottage atmosphere, with country decor and crafts to purchase even! The food is amazing, home cooked and delightful treats and baked goods! Worth the stop…amazing breakfast too !
Now that this restaurant is up and running, it is providing excellent and reasonably priced food, being served by pleasant and obliging staff, in a clean country atmosphere.
We met with the owners who were friendly and chatty, even though there were plenty of patrons on board for breakfast.
We will certainly return over our week in the area. Highly recommend this place to anyone desiring good food in a timely manner.
