My mom and I just stopped in for the first time today, and not only are the owners lovely, the baking is INCREDIBLE!!! We tried the rustic artisan bread and it absolutely tastes like regular bread. You can't tell it's gluten free. I've already started making my list to place an order online! So thankful we have such a great bakery in Glencoe! :)
Today I had the absolute pleasure of trying my first baked good I ordered and meeting Conny from Heirloom Bake Shoppe. All I can say is...AMAZING!!! It was the lemon square. Sweet and tart and the most flaky crust. You would never know it is gluten free. I can't wait to try all the other baked goods I ordered, like the bagels, english muffins, bread, garlic & parmesan biscuits and the 7 layer bars.
I've not yet been to the actual bakery in Glencoe, but this is a great reason to visit.
