My wife and I had the soup of the day - mushroom and the bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer before enjoying the whitefish dinner and the ribeye steak.
The appetizers were the highlight of the meal, hands down. My wife said her whitefish was very very good, but the soup and scallops were perfect.
Our server Ray was fun, hope she is enjoying her day off today.

Made reservations for 6 for dinner, showed up and the restaurant was closed. They did not have the courtesy to phone me to explain why they could not honor the reservation. Very poor customer service John Fletcher

Underwhelming, overpriced, abysmal food and poor service. Our reservation was for 6.30 pm nobody spoke to us until 7 pm. We had to ask for menus. We were there for over two hours. We asked for water several times. We were advised there were no water glasses they were waiting for glasses. We never got water. Three of us had scallops wrapped in bacon, this was quite nice. One of us had the soup, which was good. Four of us had the white fish dinner. The rice was over cooked and soggy, the carrots (seasonal vegetable) was over cooked. The fish wasn’t too bad. There is no drink menu with prices. I do not recommend this place. The location is beautiful. It is a shame this could be a nice restaurant. This no way reflects on The Inn on Gore Bay where we were staying. This is a wonderful Inn. That I recommend highly.

Pan fried White Fish is excellent! Can highly recommend this place. Small staff so ….go early and be patient… it is worth the wait! Great view from almost every table and you won’t find staff at any restaurant anywhere that tries this hard to make their customer happy! Enjoy! Make a reservation!

I came in at 1:30 on a Thursday for lunch the man fighting spiders with a broom on the front porch told me to “walk and side and someone will be right with you” I stood nearly 15min not a person to be seen in the dining room, the server made eye contact with me 3 times through the kitchen window but never said a word to me. Left with an empty stomach.

Friendly service, with a lovely view and tasty food. We had the roast beef and the lake perch and were very satisfied.
Parking: Park at the side of the restaurant if possible rather than in front of the porch so as not to ruin the nice view for yourself and other guests

I've been here a few times now and no matter how busy they get, the service is as excellent as the food they serve. The price is also mostly easy to handle, especially compared to other nearby places. The view is incredible as well as the restaurant overlooks the bay and local wildlife are not shy about making an appearance. Whether you're staying at the Inn or just looking for a meal, it'll be worth your time. Just call ahead first as they're often quite busy.

Ordered medium prime rib and, when served, well done. My sister and I mentioned that our prime rib was terrible. Waiter was very polite and offered to buy us dessert. Manager did not come outside to comment. Needless to say, we'll never return.

Made reservations for 5 for a very important Birthday dinner. There was no table set up except for in the big room with zero ambiance.They had no food for half the meals. They put fkn onions and a dab of cranberries on every meal which was terribly cooked. And then they only had 1 piece of dessert left! This was a Friday evening. Absolutely disgusting! I will never recommend this place to any Island visitors or friends! Horrible place. Our server tried and I bit my tongue so hard trying not to tell her that she should find a new job. I was a Chef for 20+ years and this was so unacceptable. Horrible horrible horrible!!!
