The Lass & Ladle is a must-go if you are anywhere close to Grafton, or you are coming up on the Lyle Street N exit on the 401. Walking into the Lass & Ladle, it is laid out wonderfully with fresh breads and pastries in displays. Then getting to the menu, there is a great selection of sandwiches and snacks.
This review also has a back story to display the excellent service from the Lass & Ladle. I was with a group of 14 and we went down to grab some food after a round of golf. That's 14 guys in their late 20s, hungry and showing up all in one guy to this cafe in the late afternoon on a Saturday. There was one young woman and 2 young men behind the counter doing the cash outs and making the food. I can not sing enough praises to these 3 young workers. They took all of our orders, had a system for getting it right, including sandwiches, sides, drinks and some donuts for all 14 of us. They even made a way for all of us to sit together, which was incredibly gracious. Not only did they put together all the orders perfectly, they walked it to us (taking one person away from the operation), did it in a timely manner, and the food was excellent. Every person at the table had great things to say and even if it's not all together next time, it is a highlight on all of our radars when we are headed that direction.
Major props to ownership for having outstanding employees and the most high praise for the employees showing exemplary examples of service. I look forward to going back, and I hope for the best things moving forward for the Lass & Ladle.

Ordered a montreal smoked meat sandwich and side garden salad and the portion was so big I get 2 meals out of it! Excellent value and price and a great atmosphere with an open-view kitchen. Absolutely recommended. Will be back.

The Lass and Landle is such a cute eatery!! We ordered take out, a Chipotle BBQ Chicken Burger with Poutine and a two piece fish and chips with a side gravy. Pick up was in 15 minutes and in the 15 minutes it was hot ready and waiting at the counter.
The establishment was cute and clean inside with fresh bread, rolls and a selection of other goodies to purchase off the shelves, the staff were polite and hard at work, taking order and cooking up all the goodies, hair nets is place, nice to see!
The food was delicious, my daughter said it was the best poutine she has had. Not sure what seasonings they use on those fries but it was top notch. Burger was incredible and the fish, meaty, tender and coated beautifully! We would eat there again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend to others.
Also thankful to read in another review that the dogs were denied access to the inside of the restaurant, well done!!

I have only been here a handful of times but it came highly recommended by my partner! The Lass & Ladle did not disappoint! The food was full of flavour, will be returning soon!

It was good grill cheese sandwich but soup was not, very bland but fish and chips were great.
Parking: The parking is before the restaurant, then walk around the building.
I ordered a beef sandwich w a poutine. Realized half way home I only got fries. Went back and the staff seemed annoyed, just dumped some gravy and a few curds on my fries and sent me off. When I got home the beef sandwich was dry, no gravy on it almost no cheese. I hate to leave poor reviews but this was poor service and I paid a good amount of money.
