The Dairy Dip and Pizza Place

7:30 on August 22nd my family and I stopped here. For a $25 ice cream treat I’d have expected the staff to not treat us like dirt.
Two girls, but especially the blonde, was unbearably rude. I’d never come back, and never recommend.
Note to the staff, get a new job if you don’t want to be there

A Must-Visit Gem in Grand Bend!

If you're in Grand Bend and looking for a place to eat, do yourself a favour and stop by The Dairy Dip and Pizza Place. This family-owned spot is a true gem! We tried the Longboard pizza, and it was absolutely amazing—easily one of the best pizzas we've ever had. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavourful. We also tried the poutine and it was just as yummy! Bonus, prices were affordable.

But what really sets this place apart is the service. Renee, who served us, was just the sweetest. She was so friendly and kind, making us feel right at home. It's rare to find such warm and genuine service these days. The entire staff made sure our experience was top-notch, earning a well-deserved 10/10 for service.

As if that wasn't enough, they even treated the four kids we had with us to free ice cream! It’s little touches like this that make The Dairy Dip and Pizza Place stand out as an original, must-visit spot in Grand Bend. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by—you won’t be disappointed!

Very cute place, close to the beach, nice staff. Food was little bit expensive but it is reasonable since the location is very close to the beach. Good place to take pictures while waiting for the food.

We chose this restaurant specifically because of the beautiful flowers outside and the vintage look. We ordered our food - poutine, and 2 drinks and a flatbread pizza. About 5 minutes later my order number was called and the young man. Behind the counter informed me that they had no gravy (it was 530pm) and said I could have fries and they would reimburse me. I said great no problem. A few minutes later he called my number again and gave me my son’s pizza. I was with my friend and her 2 kids and they were waiting for their food . 15 minutes later I’m still in a line up waiting for my fries, and drinks. My friend, her kids and my son are almost done eating. Washrooms are broken down and no hair nets on the woman working in the kitchen who’s wiping her brow. Someone in the kitchen asks what I’m waiting for and I said my order number and the items. She goes through the stack- finds it and realizes no one filled my order. They gave me one free ice cream coupon as an apology (3 kids in my group so we didn’t use the coupon) By this time my group is finished eating so I ate 1/4 of my fries maybe? They tasted off (wondering if the oil was old that was used) . My stomach hurt and about 3 hours later I was vomiting . I vomited throughout the night. That was the only food I had eaten since lunch time earlier. Dirty/ run down when you look closer, broken down washrooms, and the food wasn’t good and was expensive. Will never go there again. Bill was 33$ for a flatbread pizza and fries and 2 pops.

It was expensive. I ordered one hot dog, one chicken strip meal and a personal pizza. It was $42 before tip. The french fries tasted terrible. The customer service was terrible. The washrooms were broken, there was no sanitizer to clean my hands.

Doesn't check what flavours of ice cream they have beforehand. Will take your money then tell you to choose a different flavour. Paid 7.64 for for a styrofoam cup barely filled. Cheap, stingy and bad customer service. Never coming back.

Cool diner spot. Stopped for ice cream, with the usual flavors. Portion sizes I would day are small-medium (In comparison to Baskins). Nice seating area outside for patrons of the dinner and ice creamery.

Side note, the single scoop was Coconut And Cream, which we believe was a different flavor (Maple-Pecan/Biscoff type flavour)

I paid $32 for a very small amounts of ice cream and she gave it to me in a cup and I asked for a cone so I felt cheated. I do not advise you to buy from this store at all.

I’m assuming it’s new ownership since last summer… because we ordered 2 delicious pizzas last summer for $35-40… and this summer I could only get flatbread… this is seriously $35. It’s literally half the amount of food for the same price. Don’t go, it tastes just like it looks- cafeteria food. It’s not the same as before. I imagine you can’t screw up fries and burgers, maybe order that?

Great customer service! Staff were friendly and efficient. There were 11 of us and our orders arrived in a reasonable time. I had a scoop of Pralines & Cream and the Pistacchio Almond. Loved it!!
It has been our tradition to buy their ice cream whenever we are in Grand Bend. The quality and taste never changes. Nice way to end the day. Highly recommended.

The Moose tracks and praline cream ice creams were amazing! The service was great and it was overall an enjoyable experience! A great way to end the day off in Grand Bend!

Dairy Dip is always a must when we go to Grand Bend. Skip the chains and stick with a strip classic with charm. There is a certain level of quirks that you have to accept but that's just part of it. The prices are getting up there though.
