The food was dry, burnt and just very distasteful, the service was aright but seemed very aggressive and unfriendly. the atmosphere itself just wasn't great the owners son was bragging about how he is rich and owns the gator and it was very unclean, it was very unsettling. would not recommend STAY AWAY!!!Dietary restrictions: I very clearly asked for a gluten free dish, long story short, I was told it was gluten free(it wasn't)!!

This is a great place for lunch or dinner on the beach. The food and service was great. Prices are on par with other restaurants. You get an amazing view of the beach from the patio. We will be dropping in again. Cheers ?

I know I said GT's rivals Mackie's I lied this place rivals Mackie's for Number 1 Beach Restaurant. They have some of the best fish and chips you can find in these parts. Not only that you get a nice view of the beach as well. 10/10

Great spot to check out after hitting the beach! They have a large patio with indoor seating facing the beach as well. Ordered chicken tenders and a crisp corona which was delicious. Perfect spot to enjoy some beachside views. Service was friendly too. Would recommend!

Went here for dinner last week. Food was good, drinks were amazing. Only issue I had was the table they put us at I could not reach the floor and it was so far away from me I couldn't even lean forward (I'm very short) we asked the hostess if we could sit down where the chairs were, and the hostess seemed annoying and rolled her eyes and said ok. I am nit sure why she put us up there as we were the only people up there and even people who came after us she did not seat there. Other than that everything was a delight!

Lovely spot at the beach for a good meal! Went on a not so busy day, so service was super quick, it wasn’t too crowded or loud, and the food was delicious. There were multiple vegetarian options on the menu which is always a bonus. Not too pricey, you get a good amount of food for what you pay, I’d say it’s pretty fair. Our waitress was extremely nice as well. The restaurant itself has a very fun atmosphere with a great view of the beach, and quite a lot of seating. Will definitely return next time I’m in the area!

Location of restaurant is great! Good service. We had fish and chips, it was just ok. However, the cleanliness was issue, we saw food on floor and table, end up eating there’s not too peaceful and relax. If you come here yourself, you won’t be alone, there’s dozen of flies welcome you when you sitting down, and your hands will be so busy to keep them away. But they love to stay you.

We spent a night at the grand bend and stopped for dinner at growling gator .The ambience is too good with a lovely view of the beach and street. It was very busy over labor day weekend and hence food took over 30-40 minutes but the food and drinks were amazing.The staff were amazing and took care of our orders gracefully.Overall lovely place to hangout with family or friends.Vegetarian options: Good variety of vegetarian options.

My family had dinner at The Growling Gator this past long weekend. The wait to get a table around 5:30 pm wasn’t long for the group of 7 of us.Our server was friendly and attentive during the dinner rush hour.We all enjoyed our meals out on the patio deck. We ordered burgers, wraps, fish and chips, and pasta.I was worried it might not be kid friendly but they have ramps for strollers and high chairs are available.We will come back whenever we visit the Grand Bend area again.
