The 3 of us went to the Tipsy Pelican and all 3 of us did not enjoy our meals. The spegetti was terrible, Cold and they just threw a big gob of Cold fitting on top. The squash dish was good but for the price you got enough to cover the bottom of your plate and you didn't even taste the squash. The hamburg was very blank, no taste at all. We will never go back. All meals where Cold. In very disappointed!

A small space but great food and wonderful service. We came early for lunch but the spaces quickly filled with people who know this to be a super place to eat.

Handcrafted drinks, modern cuisine, and a vibe that screams Grand Bend beach day done right. The Tipsy Pelican is perfectly positioned right beside the sand, making it the ultimate spot to grab a bite or sip a cocktail after soaking up the sun.

The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were crunchy, caramelized perfection, while the Whipped Ricotta brought creamy, tangy balance. The Steak Sliders hit all the right notes — juicy, flavourful, and impossible to resist. Meanwhile, the Pelican Grilled Cheese and Ravioli a la Carbonara leaned into comfort food territory but with an elevated twist.

Sandwich lovers will rejoice at The Club, packed with grilled chicken and fresh toppings, while the Gyro Bao Buns offered a playful, flavour-packed spin on a classic. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavour yet perfectly portioned for a beachside meal.

And yes, I left here full and happy — not a disgruntled pelican in sight (Moira Rose vibes, anyone?).

The Tipsy Pelican isn’t just a meal, it’s a Grand Bend experience: inventive, local, and endlessly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Upon entering the atmosphere looks wonderful. I was recommended by a hotel that I was staying at. To eat here it was 15 minutes before the dinner was to come on and they did not want to give me a dinner menu to look it over because I was told the kitchen was picky so I had a drink and waited and ordered some crab cakes. They were frozen in the middle. The kitchen staff looked filthy. I finished my drink asked for the bill and left. Definitely not recommend this place I don’t know why it was recommended to me.

Wow! What a hidden gem! My wife her sister and my brother-in-law brought me to The Tipsy Pelican in Grand Bend with little to no expectations. It looks like you’re a typical young person’s cool bar and I was hesitant to order anything other than an appetizer but wow.! Hats off to this menu! Everything was incredible! I had the beef souvlaki appetizer and it was out of this world good! This competes with and is better than most food in Toronto! Keep it up! What a delightful surprise!!!

Four of us visiting Grand Bend for the first time. Stopped by the Tipsy Pelican for dinner. We waited for a table for about 20 minutes. The greeter was very nice. We asked if we could visit the beach while we waited for a table and she said yes and offered to call my cell when there was a tale available. We the crispy shrimp to share as a starter and then Maint St burgers and black bean veggie burgers and the truffle tries. Everything was delicious. The walls are plastered with 50’s to 80’s album covers and other memorabilia that we examined while we waited for our food. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. Thank you!

What an amazing find! Spent the weekend in Grand Bend and stumbled on the Pelican. Location is perfect (sunset views, comfy patio)

The food was great, salad, crispy shrimp, fried cheese and a tenderloin. The Steak Frites was off the charts value.

Our first experience was so good we went back the next day and sampled the Burger, Tenderloin sliders and the Caesar salad. Also all equally delicious.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jenna and Farren, our servers and they were both fantastic. Friendly, attentive and they made the experience a 5 star one. If you are in the area and looking for a great night, the pelican is highly recommended

Why would you put large wooden framed bean bag toss games in the aisle of a busy restaurant??? I fell over one as I was leaving the restaurant, nearly doing a face plant, badly bruising both knees and my chest, which shook me up immensely, to the point I was too shocked to reprimand the staff. Above all else, customer safety is imperative!

Such a gem of a restaurant. The servers are very kind and knowledgeable, the food is amazing (the burger and black truffle pasta were incredible)! I am still thinking about the gin gene and espresso martini! Great vibe, great music, will absolutely will be returning.
