Not a hospitable place at all. I had to pee my pants and everywhere was closed, I asked the owner if I could go and he rudely denied me using his bathroom. For someone who puts bible verses out on their chalkboards, it sure wasn’t very Christian of them. Love thy neighbour doesn’t apply here. Wouldn’t recommend supporting a business who turns away someone who asks politely to use their restroom so they don’t pee their pants.

Looked like a nice place. Owner wouldn’t sell us any non alcoholic beverages, and said the picnic tables are only for customers purchasing food. We walked to our bikes well out of the way, and grabbed a bottle of water out of my saddle bags. Opened and took a drink. Owner then popped out on the upper deck and told us to leave if we aren’t purchasing food. Very disappointing in the customer service. Sign says “trying not to piss God off”. Sad to see one human treat another this way. Bad karma. Kinda like the service Christ received when he was shunned…Signed: 60 year old Grandpa (a God fearing Christian), my wife, daughter & son in law… we will most certainly not stop at any point in the future, and recommend all to continue on across the river, or better yet to Calabogie’s Redneck Restaurant. We were treated like real people there.

My family and I were passing by and my 8yr old daughter needed to use the washroom in a hurry. The girl at the window wouldn't let her have access to the bathroom as we weren't customers. I offered to buy some drinks and she told me that drinks wouldn't count...I wasn't impressed...how uncompationate and ridiculous!

We stopped at Calvyn’s in Griffith, a pub-style takeout spot with a walk-up window — and wow, was it good! Portions were spot-on, flavours were bang-on, and the prices were great.
We had three fish and chips, a pound of medium wings (just the right heat with lots of flavour), chicken fingers, and a burger. The fries were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and downright addictive. Even though it was busy, our order came out fast and fresh.
The owner was super friendly, and everyone in our group raved about the food. Absolutely recommend!
