My partner and I got caught in some terrible weather on our motorcycles and had been riding all day, it was getting dark. He has Reynauds and had completely numb hands. He bought a poutine and asked to use the washroom to run his hands under some warm water. They refused. Asked for a hot cup of something to warm up. They said they had nothing. He asked for some hot water from the tap in a cup. They refused. He ended up using the fries to warm up.Really strange and hostile vibe from what I thought would be a down-home country style place.

This place is pretty dope. Spent part of a summer tree planting in Griffith and Calvyn's was the place to be. The food is good, the beer is cold and affordable, and it's an experience you wont get in any city. On the menu they have deep fried cheese curds, and also cheesy fries with gravy, but no poutine listed. I often wondered why not make a poutine with the deep fried cheese curds, but it felt rude to ask. One of my colleagues ordered a corona, and it was served without a lime. My coworker inquired as to the lack of lime and Calvyn reponded, "Sorry man, I've got limes, I can put a lime in there, if it will make a difference for you. Do you think a tiny wedge of lime in the neck of your beer bottle makes a difference?" They have swords on the wall... they have swords, and daggers and other medieval stuff on the walls. Calvyn is a good guy, and his bar/restaurant is awesome. If you are passing through, or staying in the area you should check it out. Also they have a dock, so you can go there on your boat.

Went for lunch, fries were average, pizza was above average. However, patio was closed, few seating options, no liquor licence. Service was great. Port-a-potty on site, public washrooms down the road a half mile.Will likely stop again.

One of the best extra large pizzas ever! Huge, thin crust, tons of toppings (meat lovers plus tomato), made nice and fast with toppings edge to edge. Not cheap but definitely worth every penny! Thanks and will be back.FOLLOW-UP REVIEW June 2017: Went back today and tried the burger, fries and fish. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.ANOTHER FOLLOWUP REVIEW Sept 2017: We had a amazing extra large pizza today with fries mushrooms and French fries. Soooo delicious. Still highly recommended.ANOTHER FOLLOW-UP REVIEW June 2023: We were there for a quick bite to eat this time, but nothing on the menu seemed fresh (all frozen/precooked) and the seating areas and patio seemed very closed and off-limits for customers. Not sure what happened from the early days of this restaurant but I'm questioning if it is worth going back to now for anything other than pizza. Will see!
Really great food. Pizza was awesome. Fast service and friendly staff. Great place to stop when traveling the 41. Public bathrooms across the road- pretty clean and well maintained. Few picnic tables near by, bees can be an issue.

Fish & chips and wings are very good BUT frankly their pizza is so top notch, that is what I get every time. Not a greasy pizza!! The owners are friendly. Quick take out service. Great local business. Hope to get out there more than I have the last few years.
