I ordered the Smoked Grimsby and Steak and Cheese sandwich. The Smoked Grimsby was fine but the steak and cheese was all right except for the steak part. The " rib eye steak" quoted in the menu was a thin slice of fat and gristle. I had to remove the meat from the sandwich as I was unable to chew it.The owner surprised me with a prompt response and was very gracious in offering me a refund. Definitely worth a revisit.

I’ve been an obsessed customer for years and I’m back here to update my review and say how thrilled I am that you now offer a gluten free bread option for those of us with digestive issues. At so many restaurant I would have to pay the up charge for the gluten free bread (understandable) but also get a smaller less delicious sandwich. I’ve been so happy to open my bag each time to see TWO sandwiches to compensate for the smaller gluten free loaf size. You guys are the best! Thank youuuuu! ?(The sandwich-on-a-salad option is wonderful too of course)
About eight or nine years ago I was a poor kid in my first little apartment right by this place and I used to go here just about every payday for my one luxury, a BLT on potato bread! Many years later I took my wife here and we ordered the BLT on potato bread, and I'm thrilled to say it's exactly as I remember it- still the best sandwich I've ever had, it even had the little pickle wedge on the side! I highly recommend this place, enjoy a BLT on potato bread for me!

The mustard brisket sandwich was very tasty, only wish is the bread was toasted, as toasting it would give the sandwich more mix of textures since the fillings were soft. Would come back again to try the others.

I try to come out every week to try the new specials - vegan edition ? - the tempeh arugula sandwich was so delicious. The homemade lemonade is always so good too. I love the energy of the staff, listening to them work together on the line makes the experience even better. Can’t recommend this gem of a restaurant more.

Such a fantastic place!!! Our first time there, everyone was so friendly and it has a great atmosphere. Food was amazing! My husband and I didn’t even get out of the parking lot before devouring our sandwiches! Everything was so fresh, and perfectly flavoured! I can’t wait to come back and try something else. Definitely recommend, 270 Bench is a hidden gem!!!!
