My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner Jan 3rd walking in early without a reservation. Matt was awesome to setup us up at a nice quiet table and fully explained the menu, specials with great detail and knowledge. The food and wine was excellent and truly authentic Italian cuisine. We really enjoyed our evening. Will definitely return soon,
Thank you to Matt, and to a great Chef !

Waaaaay overpriced pasta for lunch. Server pushes food and let me tell you everything comes at a cost!

Pricier per person, but absolutely worth it. Make a reservation before you go, the place is as popular as it should be! Great family atmosphere full of great smells, the service staff really knows how to get you what you need!

Sandwiches. Hit or miss sometimes, right? Well not here.

Ordering porchetta is a gamble, but Casa Toscana did a phenomenal job. It had an excellent crust, the meat was tender and moist, while the fat was rendered.

Add to that a house made foccacia and a slight heat to the dressing, this sandwich had it all. I can't wait to try more of their specialties next time I'm in town!

The cook presented a goopy pasta. The menu described alio and pepperoncino........ONE lonely piece of pepper, served in a goopy sauce. I have had many good meals here, but this was just sad.

We had a great dinner with many of us choosing the duck dish. Everything was cooked to perfection. The server was extremely informed and answered all of our questions. It wasn’t hard finding a couple bottles of wine to enjoy!

A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering!
On our way back from Niagara, we stumbled upon this cozy spot while looking for something homestyle and affordable — and what a surprise! The food was bursting with authentic flavor, and the warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home.

The wine recommendation was sooooooo good 🍷 — truly a perfect pairing! They also offer fascinating tours that we’re already planning to join.

So grateful we found this amazing place — it’s the kind of hidden gem you can’t wait to tell your friends about!

Casa Toscana seems to be a charming restaurant, striking a nice balance between modern and rustic. It looks well-loved. The young serving staff were cheerful and accommodating. There were no issues with redoing an overflowing espresso for example that was ordered short. There was obvious care taken in chalking up the specials board that came to the table. It is a pity then that more care was not taken in preparing the specials themselves. The thin grilled eggplant rolls stuffed with ricotta (involtini) were dry, almost raw and difficult to eat. The artichoke and bean salad ($21) came with large knife-resistant chunks of artichoke and seemed to involve mostly the opening of jars and cans. But it was super-sized, easily enough for 3 as an antipasto. The main course Gnocchi at $30 on the other hand (“freshly home-made”) were barely enough to satisfy one. The imbalance was striking. The tomato sauce was sour, under-seasoned and thin. I would question the San Marzano claim on the menu. The Spaghetti Pomodoro had the same unfortunate sauce but at least was more modestly priced.

I don’t usually write negative reviews like this but for a restaurant that puts considerable effort into decor and ambience, and makes much of the “authentic Italian experience “ it offers, lessons could definitely be learned in the kitchen to complete the package.
