I visit this place a lot since I work right next to it. I like how their customer service is always good and they keep the place well organized consistently. Rates are fair and they serve big portions.

Ordered pizza, veal with gnocchi, and ceaser salad. First the bacon on the salad was undercooked and looked like it was 3 days old. A weird brown-grey colour. The salad was soggy. Always serve takeout salad with dressing on the side.

They are doing well with new menu and services.Having been there twice, first time was back to 2017 when they were completely serving Italian dishes, and that was fantastic. The last time I went there was a week after they had reopened. Well, their gnocchi is my favourite. Absolutely delicious! Then the new Asian dish got me surprised and I love those deep-fried wontons too. Thanks for the creative combination tho.

We got a gift certificate from an event for Cibo and was happy that the new owners honoured the certificate. We noticed that the new menu was half Italian and half Asian now - but we were craving Italian food. We ordered 2 osso buco meals - one with gnocchi and one with vegetables and the other meal was the veal. I have to say, the tomato sauce for both the pasta and the osso buco was tasty as was the sauce on the veal. However, the gnocchi were very overcooked and the vegetables were so overcooked they were mush. The veal looked more like ground beef, it was so overcooked. None of us could finish our meals and it was a great disappointment. Once they figure out cooking times, the food should be much better.

Located nearby Grimsby downtown, an old Italian styled town on the way to Niagara Fall, Cibo restaurant is a nice place frequently visited by the locals and off town guests. Being built in 1850, the restaurant still remains the original design and furniture giving guests a classic space since the European 1800s. Currently operated by a Vietnamese Canadian couple, guests will have chances to enjoy a combined menu flavored with Italian and Vietnamese dishes. I ordered today an Italian pizza as recommended by the Chef and new yumy Vietnamese dishes such as Grilled Pork Sirloin with broken rice, shrimp and pork spring rolls. Nothing is more special than enjoying your dinner in a wonderful evening of the fall in a peaceful place. No reservation is required but you should check before coming and always remember to wear a face covering!

Have been to Cibo Restaurant numerous times. Nice location, beautiful patio, place excellent service, good value for money. Food is hot, fresh and delicious. We always order our favourites: pizzas, cha gio spring rolls, grilled pork chop rice meal and have never been disappointed. Recommended. We will be back again.

First time dining in since Covid and had a really great experience. Katelyn was our server and was probably the nicest, most accommodating and professional server we’ve ever had; she really made our experience. The osso bucco with gnocchi was incredible. Drink specials were fantastic as well. Ate inside due to weather but the patio was nicely lit and will be coming back before it’s too cold. Don’t quite understand the negative reviews here because our experience could not have been any better. Perhaps have a little more compassion for the restaurants and staff that are undoubtedly suffering due to Covid. If you are looking for fresh food, great service, and safe/clean environment, this is the place to go in Grimsby.
