The tomato sauce tasted like it came straight from a can, definitely not the rich, fresh flavor you'd expect. The pizza was overcooked and nearly burnt, which ruined the texture and taste. While the server was friendly enough, the service was slow and uncoordinated. What really shocked me was the owner’s behaviour, rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. For someone running a high-end restaurant, he clearly lacks basic hospitality skills. On top of all this, the bill was outrageously overpriced considering the poor quality of food and service. Definitely not worth the money. Would not recommend unless major changes are made.

I ordered the seafood pasta with tomato sauce, and unfortunately, the seafood did not taste fresh, many of the shells were empty, which was disappointing. The presentation was good, but the quality simply wasn't there. Dessert tasted fine, but honestly, it reminded me of something you'd pick up from Costco, not what I expected from a sit-down Italian restaurant. Might give it a second try and hope for a better showing, but definitely left underwhelmed this time.

We had dinner at Oggi Bistro and, unfortunately, it fell far below expectations. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, which should’ve been our first red flag. Our drinks had barely hit the table before the food came out, a sign that it wasn’t made fresh. Sadly, the taste confirmed it: the veal was thin, rubbery, and lacked flavor, while the pasta was overcooked and smothered in what tasted like canned tomato sauce. Our young server was polite but very inexperienced, unable to answer basic questions about the menu. While the patio looked pleasant at first glance, the washroom told a different story. it was smelly, unclean, and had no soap or sanitizer available. The entrance was also dirty and clearly not well maintained. Inside, the dining room was so loud that I had to step outside just to take a phone call in peace. There’s a lot of potential here, but also a lot of work to be done , from food quality to service training to cleanliness. Oggi Bistro has many areas that need serious improvement.

While the dessert was tasty, it oddly reminded me of something you’d find at Costco , enjoyable, but not what you'd expect from a restaurant. The server was friendly but clearly lacked experience. She didn’t seem to know the menu well, which made ordering a bit awkward. The house wine was a big letdown — overly acidic and not pleasant to drink. The atmosphere inside was dark and felt cheap, which took away from the dining experience. Even worse was the restaurant’s porch area .it was dirty, full of black stains, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned or sanitized in a while. It gave the whole place a feeling of poor maintenance and neglect. The decoration and maintaining cleanliness, and perhaps consider lowering the prices to match the actual experience. Not a place we’d recommend or return to.

When we politely offered our feedback about the food, he responded in the most condescending and rude manner, almost as if he couldn't handle any criticism. His attitude completely overshadowed the entire dining experience, leaving us feeling unwelcome and disregarded. For a place that claims to provide a fine dining experience, this was anything but that. We certainly won't be returning.

My family and I really wanted Oggi to be a success and we even went back a second time to give them another chance. Unfortunately we had the same experience as the first time. Have been a customer several times with no issues until now. We had company come from Alberta and celebrating a birthday so I purchased a wag jag for 4 people only to find when we arrived that they would not accept wag jag on Friday night so we were turned away after spending almost $200 . I just feel that the owner could have made some consideration but instead he was rude and embarrassed me in front of other guests and my family. Will never go to Oggies again, not related to food just being humiliated. As we live in Grimsby we always try to support local but we did go elsewhere and were welcomed. But the money I spent to support Oggies was a waste. I will never support them again.
