First time here and such a wonderful cafe. Good food choices and bakery items. Staff was very helpful and coffee was lovely. Loved the feel of the place.

One of the best places for weekend brunch. They have a real nice variety in menu and everything is made fresh. Their coffee selection is good and food tasted great as well. Many vegetarian options available as well. Must try their Nachos with Vegan chilli. Staff is very professional and welcoming as well with really great service.
Will surely recommend :)

I love to come here because I love the soup, sandwiches and lattes. The servers are soooo slow, either that or they are hiding or choose to ignore people. Almost every time i come in i wait atleast 10 minutes for someone to take my order, but this day i waited almost 20 minutes. Needless to say I got up and left and ended up getting lunch at Tim Hortons :( and drove back to work. The guys behind the counter are awesome and super fast. I guess next time i'll order to go and eat in my car to get back to work on time. :P

I absolutely love this place. I used to come here all the time to read. Unfortunately I had to stop going due to the smell. You don’t realize it when you’re in there but when I leave everything down to my hair smells like it. It sticks to my bag and my clothes I couldn’t stand it anymore! It makes me sad because there’s no other place around like this and the staff is so friendly I will miss it!

As a 19-year-old, I’m not typically the type to jump straight to writing a Google review, but I felt I had to share my experience from this morning because it was so unusual.

My friends and I ordered one chai latte with caramel, one chai latte with oat milk, and one caramel iced coffee. When the drinks were brought out, the waitress placed mine down and said it was a chai latte. I politely said, “Sorry, I ordered a caramel iced coffee,” and she responded with, “Yes, that’s what I said.” I was a bit taken aback, especially since my friends also heard her say chai latte and confirmed it afterward.

After we finished eating and drinking, she asked if that was everything, and we said yes. We waited for her to come back so we could pay, but she never did. Eventually, we went up to the counter and waited a few more minutes before she said, “You guys have to pay with me,” which was confusing since that’s exactly what we were trying to do.

When she asked us to repeat our orders, we clearly explained what each of us had. My friend noticed that her side of bacon wasn’t on the bill and pointed it out. The waitress seemed frustrated and responded, “Yes, I’m trying to do it,” which again felt unnecessary.

After my friends paid, I noticed I was charged for a chai latte with caramel instead of a caramel iced coffee, which was an extra 75 cents more. When I asked for it to be corrected, she replied, “Well, that’s why I asked what drinks you guys got so I could split it properly.” We had already told her our orders, so this response felt dismissive.

Overall, the tone and remarks were unexpected from someone working in the service industry. Afterward, I mentioned the experience to a friend’s sister, and she shared that she’d had a similar encounter with the same waitress, which was disappointing to hear.

On a positive note, the food itself was great — it’s just unfortunate that the service took away from what could have been a really enjoyable visit.

Soup , just fair. Mostly the coffee and drinks are good. Baked goods are plain but tasty.
The service is not consistent, sometimes ok sometimes not good. The staff seem unimpressed to serve. There are no happy faces.

I'm always amazed at how uncomfortable the chairs and seating areas are. The decor in this restaurant leaves me wondering why the owner has never thought to replace the tired rickety furniture. The bathrooms are messy and not cleaned very often and very cold. So this restaurant can serve you a nice cup of tea , but really falls down on comfort and atmosphere.
