Impromptu poor planning on our part. We ambushed the chef here with a party of 8 soon after opening with little heads up (they make everything fresh to order). Requesting oxtail (a dish that cannot be rushed) as well as other items. We were warned about a long wait-we understood and didn't mind. The patience payed off. Absolutely the best oxtail I've had to this day. The lady didn't really want to serve us the oxtail right away, it wasn't tender enough yet to her liking (a sign of pride for their food). We ate the fried chicken and coleslaw first and it did not disappoint at all!
It's been months and I'm writing this review at 3am. This place haunts me in the best ways. I've got no business being this far from Toronto but would go again. 10/10. Oh and the price point was so good too, we were shocked. Super tasty food at a reasonable price in this day and age.

Best food in all of Haldimand-Norfolk. If you’re looking for amazing flavour look no further! I usually order the Curry Chicken Roti and the Jerk Chicken Meal, however last night I tried the Throwdown burger (burger topped with shredded oxtail), and was blown away with how delicious it was!

Says address but then it’s a different store, go to the back and it’s locked, try the phone and they don’t answer. Wish I could’ve tried but I’m not chasing a wild goose

We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Kiss, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She even changed the TV to a kid-friendly show just for our children, which we really appreciated. It made the whole evening more enjoyable for our family. We were also so thankful that the restaurant was open until midnight—perfect for a late-night meal. Highly recommend this place for both the amazing food and the warm hospitality!

We found this little restaurant on Google map and saw that it has very good reviews, so we decided to drive all the way over from Selkirk and it was totally worth it. The food was 100% authentic Jamaican. We ordered 1 Throw down special rice with shrimp and chicken, 1 Throw down special chow mein noodle with fried chicken. The food came out so fresh and hot and they all were sooo delicious!. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back!

Such a hidden gem, after a long day at the beach this was such a blessing to stop at. We decided to try it out on a whim and we were not disappointed. Goat curry was flavourful, rice and peas were delicious, the highlight was the pepper shrimp- massive shrimp and full of sauce. Chefs special was chow mein with shrimp and your choice of meat. Overall for the price and the amount of food you get it’s such a bang for your buck you leave feeling well feed and happy. Kis was a joy to talk to you can tell her loves what she does. Everyone should try this spot out, they deserve all the recognition and 5 stars!!
